It might be the wind and rain (or the bursts of energy from the clash of wills below) but you aren't seeing anything.  It's kind of hard to tell who's winning.  And then a flash of lightning reveals a band of trogs slowly making their way up from the hills.  There are about 5 of them.

Burn has a range of line of sight. Does casting it directly give away my position (like tracing a glowing line between me an the target)? I always pictured it as the creature just starting on fire with odd-colored flames since the damage is untyped.

It would not give you away, presuming no one has some sort of detect magic effect on (which wouldn't be likely in the current circumstances).

Elizabeth casts Burn at the leading trog:

HD+Int check = 1d20+10 (opposed by HD + Int):
Rolled 1d20+10 : 2 + 10, total 12

Damage (untyped) = 1d8
Rolled 1d8 : 5, total 5

San = 1d3
Rolled 1d3 : 2, total 2

Humanity = 1d3
Rolled 1d3 : 3, total 3

It fails, but you can concentrate on it for a number of rounds equal to your casting ability modifier before needing to recast it.  The Trog definitely perks up and shouts something, alerting everyone to their presence.

Elizabeth has 6 ranks and it looks like she can concentrate on it indefinitely. I'm assuming she can't switch targets if one dies, though?

Burn
...If you gain more than 2 ranks in this spell it becomes more useful:
6 ranks: You are no longer limited by the number of rounds you can concentrate on this spell, and it now does 1d8 damage per turn.

Does she need to make a check each turn concentrating on it or just roll damage?

Damage:
Rolled 1d8 : 2, total 2

Spell roll, in case it's needed a second time:
Rolled 1d20+10 : 18 + 10, total 28

Damage:
This dice roll has been tampered with!
Rolled 1d8 : 2, total 2

Spell roll, in case it's needed a second time:
This dice roll has been tampered with!
Rolled 1d20+10 : 18 + 10, total 28

This dice roll has been tampered with!
Rolled 1d20 : 4, total 4

It's like a regular concentration spell in D&D, if you get distracted or hit you'll have to make a check.  He burns this time, and begins shouting something to the others.  There's still an opposed check instead of a save for the target.

If it makes sense, Elizabeth continues concentrating until he either dies, breaks line of sight, or if Elizabeth feels spotted.

Spell roll:
Rolled 1d20+10 : 5 + 10, total 15

Damage:
Rolled 1d8 : 5, total 5

OOC: I thought with 6 ranks in Burn I wasn't limited on how long I could concentrate...

Spell roll 1:
Rolled 1d20+10 : 13 + 10, total 23

Damage 1:
Rolled 1d8 : 5, total 5

Spell roll 2:
Rolled 1d20+10 : 16 + 10, total 26

Damage 2:
Rolled 1d8 : 7, total 7

Can she switch targets on the same casting or does she need to recast? How many other targets are there?

If nothing significant has changed and she doesn't feel exposed, Elizabeth pivots to either the closest trog, or the one that looks like it's now asserting leadership:

Spell roll:
Rolled 1d20+10 : 6 + 10, total 16

Damage:
Rolled 1d8 : 6, total 6

How far are they from Niemand and his accomplices? How are they doing?
