It's not a city. You'd need knowledges and/or legwork to know more before you head out.

The ring turns out to be a custom item (CL6) with two continuous spells inscribed: Know Bloodline and Water Walk. The ring first tests if the wearer is directly blood-related to the von Szepreszyl family. Only when they are directly related, the Water Walk portion is activated, enabling the wearer to stand and walk on water and preventing them from sinking if they are ever put into water.

We'd want identify scrolls and probably a wand of lesser restoration (unless Hank can do it). We should have enough normal healing options as-is.

Shadows are incorporeal undead who are adapt at hiding in shadows. Their touch saps strength, and people who are completely sapped by them rise as new shadows under their control.
It is not normal that shadows carry weapons, those seem to be unusual.

Oh...had missed the loot. Burning a scroll of identify on the gloves. And rolled Spellcraft for the scrolls (DC 20+spell level). Obviously I was going to roll minimum on one of them...
