Nah, that was totally expected. I have to put in some variety. Everything can't be a straight-up fair fight for you guys. Then you'd know what to expect next!

Here's a challenge: How about an Unbodied? Incorporealness + innate psion (telepath) manifesting one less than its CR make this a pretty tough one. I might give this a shot myself, if I have time.

You could get something very close to this by just taking a psion and slapping on a level of ghost, of course, but that comes with very different fluff and I'm not sure how to balance this without the significant drawback of having to protect your corpse.

I was hoping for a lucky race. I was thinking a leprechaun it might be a fey with luck and money.
A pot of gold that acts as hidden extra-dimensional vault that he can pull a certain value per day depending on HD.

Yeah. 2ed (more specifically, Planescape) had all of the demi- and quasi-elemental planes fully fleshed out, and pretty much all of that was lost in 3ed.

The Plane of Lightning is the quasi-positive plane between the Elemental Plane of Air and the Positive Energy Plane. Here is some further reading (the author made a few changes in his explanation, but it's pretty good). (Wikipedia entry)

Also, Osle, if you want, you can copy this link into the "Bunch of Elementals" spoiler in the first post, as more of an explanation. (This link goes into a bit more detail, but the author also made a few modifications to the original)

I just saw the Flail Snail, which is indeed a great throwback to 1st ed. You know what else is an awesome monster right next to it from the same book? The Flumph!
