Huh; I looked all over, and no one remade the Barghest class from SS; I would've thought...

Oh well, I request a rewrite of that class.

Are non-WotC monster classes fair game?  (I'm guessing that they are, but want to check.)  Paizo published a Shoggoth that a friend wants me to convert into a monster class, and I'd like to take advantage of the solid (and prompt!) feedback that monster classes posted here receive.

(Actually, I'd be deviating from the published creature a lot, since it depends heavily on stat boosts and a few deadly abilities to earn its CR.  Still, I'd be working from it as a base.)

In case you didn't notice, the Wing Dragon, Skaven and Daughter of Silence are all non-wotc. The aeon plemora is from pathfinder, the flail snail is 2e.

Undying Councilor/Ascendant Councilor? Possibly with Undying Soldier folded into the progression too. Actually, I might give this a try myself...

• Slightly different "body" rules - your old racial traits aren't lost, but you need to be an elf. You can enter at any point, similar to a racial paragon class.
• Their astral projection ability could be toned down at lower levels - first it lets you hitch a ride with other councilors, then it lets you travel to the astral plane but no further, then it lets you create weak astral bodies.
  
• You retain a limited ability to see and hear through your body while astrally projecting, so you know if you're needed or in danger.
• Bardic knowledge, and possibly a "just as planned" ability. (Dragons fear them because they're older and have been planning for longer) Maybe the factotum's Arcane Dilettante ability, or limited wish as an additional SLA (spells which use negative energy count as being from a prohibited school).
  
• Ability to "recharge" Deathless domain slots in allied clerics, possibly by expending SLA uses.
• Aura of gentle repose, auto-stabilisation and possibly immunity to disease.
  
• Undying Soldier's Smite Evil is 1/encounter and does not gain additional uses, but the damage bonus stacks with other sources of Smite.

I like where you're taking that. Plus you're a bigger Eberron fan than me, so it's certainly better you tackle those monsters that are one of the original components of the setting.

I do humbly request the Invisible Stalker. Who doesn't want to play a permanently invisible ball of air that returns to the plane of air whenever it is killed? Sounds pretty good to me
