The text doesn't match the table for the # of abilities known, readied, etc.

How would this class interact with PrCs that stack for martial adept abilities?

That would be because I just changed them and I am bad at thinking through the ramifications of things like that.  Give me a minute or so and I'll correct it.

How would this class interact with PrCs that stack for martial adept abilities?

Technically speaking, a sublime shaper's initiator level and shaper level are distinct.  A prestige class that advances martial adept abilities only advances martial adept abilities, while a prestige class that advances spellshaping abilities only advances spellshaping abilities.  Granted, you'll still get the 1/2 level increase to your unadvanced side, but that would be true no matter class you took levels in.

The more confusing question comes up when we get into the matter of prestige class levels that give you an extra maneuver readied or formula prepared.  My ruling would be that you get an extra readied/prepared slot that can only be used for the appropriate type of ability.

Anything I forgot to cover?
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Doesn't that go against the whole "draw their abilities from the same source" theme, though? Or is that just "fluff text"?

That will add another layer of book keeping to the class.

While you do draw your abilities from the same meditative focus, taking levels in a martial adept prestige class represents you choosing to focus your training on melee combat, rather than maintaining a balance between the martial and the mystical.

That will add another layer of book keeping to the class.

While true, it's not any more bookkeeping than would be necessary in multiclassing normally between spellshaping and initiating.  In fact, I think it's still less.

Good points. I was mostly just playing devil's advocate, and being greedy.  :cool I guess I'll have to decide which I want first: White Raven Tactics or 3rd level formulae.

Hey, greed totally has its place.  It was my greed in saying "I want to play a magic-user who never runs out of spell slots that led to this stuff in the first place.
