Slightly build questions.
« on: January 15, 2012, 10:33:20 PM »
According to slightly build I am small or tiny, which ever benifits me most at the time.

At the time I'm buying armor I'd like to be treated as tiny and get half off the list price.
At the time I'm tracking encomberance I'd like to be treated as tiny to let my armor weight one tenth list weight.
At the time I'm being attacked I'd like to be treated as small so that the AC of my armor isn't halved, and tiny so I still get the 2 size bonus to armor class.

Does this work out?

Since when is armor halved for tiny creatures? Also, Slight Build defines pretty well what it actually works with. IIRC, it's only for squeezing, opposed checks, and using weapons.

You'd want to be considered small, not tiny, when determining encumbrance. Small has 3/4 the carrying capacity, but tiny has a smaller multiplier (1/4? 1/3? 1/2? I dunno, AFB). Your armor would weigh whatever it would weigh for armor of its size, regardless of your size.

Players handbook 1, a foot note in the chart for pricing armor for oddly shaped or sized creatures... the armor value for armor for tiny or smaller creatures is halved.

Armor price, effect and weight is determined by what size it's made for, not what size the wearer is.
