If you go Warlock you can dip Binder to cover ability damage for Hellfire (and Dark Speech if you use that), then of course snag a ritual or two out of Lords of Darkness. There is a 100ft teleport that can be obtained once you can expend the 2,000gp & 500gp to permanently obtain it.
Ritual of Shadow Walking, IIRC, in the section about the cult of Shar. You can also use Necropolitan to cover the ability damage from that one.
Might as well pick up 'honest pain' while you're at it.
Honest pain? Doesn't ring a bell.
Me neither.

Quote from: Lords of Darkness, page 11
The Ritual of Honest Pain: The recipient of this ritual gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Handle Animal checks. The recipient’s lies cannot be detected as such by spells of lower than 5th level, and she can lie freely within the bounds of a zone of truth or similar spell. This supernatural ability functions automatically. The cost of this ritual is 2 points of Constitution, since the magical process causes great pain and trauma to the body. Restorative spells (such as restoration or greater restoration) do not reverse this Constitution loss.
What? NiteCyper's post is evolving!

I guess I never really looked at that one. Interesting.

It's another Ritual. Theres quite a few in there, the Teleport and Negative Energy attack (to heal undead) are my favorites and using them deals ability damage. An easily cured trait.

Honest Pain on the other hand is permanent loss of two points of Constitution which means you need to be Undead and/or have access to Polymorph effects. It gives +2 to some social skills (bluff/diplo/handle) and prevents people from detecting your lies (lame). Since omitting certain details from the truth doesn't warrant a Bluff check and ignores Zone of Truth, this is only handy if the local government doesn't kill undead on sight, chained you to a wall, and interrogate you with direct Yes/No only questions. And by then you've screwed up a dozen ways to begin with. It sucks unless you are undead, then it's fine because it's free.

Another ritual from the book.  Permanently lowers con score, makes you immune to stuff like zone of truth, IIRC.  Costs basically nothing beside that.

Instead of Naberious I was thinking of using the Strongheart Vest soulmeld to offset the ability damage. The ritual also says you can stay hidden in the shadow for as long as you'd like, but you take 3d4 HP and 4 CON damage per turn. While Naberous is good, put 3 essentia into your Strongheart Vest, and you can stay in there indefinitely with a bit of healing.

Not to mention things like Shedu Crown and Mindsight. Grab some sneak attack, and you can snipe forever...

With few class levels and few feats, leaving the rest of the build's customization up to you, you can do exactly what you want.

Let's see...
- Unlimited shadow jump. -CHECK
- Hide in Plain Sight. -OBSELETE
- Usual shadow manipulation sthick. -CHECK
- Skillful in the very least. -CHECK
- Scouting abilities through the roof. -CHECK
- Can hold its own in combat. -CHECK
- ...heart the theme as much as possible. -CHECK

HiPS is for cool factor, but I guess getting concealment is easier.

(some) HiPS isn't totally dumped. There will be times you wish to port in and still remain hidden you know. Plus a Hide check lets you move from one hidden spot to another without being seen, this is key since without further research into "shadowstuff" questions on knowing the destination and can you or cannot not see into the material world arise.

Too lazy to look it up, but before you discard it. At least do a little research to ensure you won't want it. Then post back with a page number to which ever so I can read up on it please :)

Also, unless items are disqualified, Hide in plain sight can be bought. Spending feats and levels to acquire that seems rather pointless.

I was assuming that in the shadow stuff you couldn't be seen. Is that not the case? Cause it effectively is HiPS if so...

I'm not following where you're getting Unlimited Shadow Jump from?

Shadow Walker gives a few Shadow Walks a day and a few Dimension Doors a day.

And where's the template that lets you stay in shadow for ability damage?

I'm very confused

All your questions lead to Lords of Darkness, page 125-126.

Totemist 2 gives unlimited short distance teleport (without shadows required) as well, but doing it with undead requires a suboptimal feat and an agreement from your DM that Undead Meldshaper will allow you to use Totemist melds, since it technically doesn't change your number of melds available to your wisdom, IIRC.

I think the implication is that the shadowstuff is sort of a place or dimension, like the rope trick.
You probably can't be seen if you aren't actually in that shadow in particular any more.
