Quick Question
« on: January 17, 2012, 12:14:37 AM »
Sorry, I didn't see an "Ask a Simple Question" thread (why ISN'T there one?), so I'm resorting to a topic.

in all relevant discussions, the Spirit Shaman Chastise Spirits ability is treated as Turn Undead for feats, PrCs, and the like. I've reread the Complete Divine section again and again, and I've never been able to find where this is explicitly stated. Can someone kindly direct me towards it?

(Apologies if there is another forum or a thread for this kind of thing)

Ding!  It was over here.

Now to answer your question.  I don't see the text either, so I'm inclined to say it does not count as turn undead.

Mudada.

Ah, thank you. I'll repost this question in there, as I'm still a little curious. The Min/Max board has repeatedly used it to qualify for PrCs requiring Turn Undead, and used it for DMM, so I want to see if maybe something is being overlooked.

Probably just glossed over.  It's a relatively fair houserule, given that Spirit Shamans are absolute crap when it comes to using something like DMM:Persist.
