« on: January 18, 2012, 01:01:15 AM »
Is there anything stopping me from getting a Paragon class at 1st Level?

Like the fighter, the wizard, and the other standard character classes, the racial paragon classes have no prerequisites (other than being a member of the appropriate race). Paragon class levels can be taken any time a character gains a new level, even at 1st level (in which case they receive four times the normal number of skill points gained at each succeeding level). A character can multiclass freely between standard character classes, prestige classes for which he or she qualifies, and the character's appropriate racial paragon class.

Right that makes the build Half-orc paragon 3/???/Orc Warlord
What's a good melee class to stick in there, I'm thinking marshal(for the good will save, Cha abilities), Warblade or crusader (Cause Tome of Battle is Steriods for melee), or Barbarian(Already getting the rage from half-orc paragon, don't need it for prereques of Orc Warlord.
(Stat array is 17 15 15 13 13 11, Strenght and Charisma is crutial, plan on getting Might Makes Right and Extra Followers as feats since leadership is a bonus feat all the players are getting, (DM wants to do a fortress versus fortress SBG campaign))

Since you're Str-Cha-based, I'd probably go Crusader. Remember that Marshal gets only medium BAB.

Hmm... the Base Class Index from Crystal Keep suggests that Dragon Mag # 348 made Marshals get Full BAB. Is it true? (not that such change would be gamebreaking...)

If I go Half Orc Paragon 3/ Crusader 2/ Marshal 1, feat bank for Might makes right as my 3rd level (Skill focus(Diplomacy)), I qualify for Orc Warlord at level 7.

If the BAB loss doesn't hinder you, consider putting the Marshal dip before Crusader; that way you'll start with IL 3 when you take your first Crusader level and have access to 2nd level maneuvers and stances right away rather than only with your second level.

But I need Marshal Level 1 to be level 6 or later since I'm feat banking(Grabbing a feat, level 1 or 3 (Skill Focus(Diplomacy) in this case, then when I take Marshal at 6th of later, I get a unrestricted bonus feat, and since I'm level six, it can be a good leadership feat.)
