Beguiler - True Seeing

I always recall LEoF having obnoxious critters
Curst - Unkillable
Flameskull - Rejuvenation
Metalmaster - All kinds of metal manipulation abilities
Nishruu - Absorb Magic

Ugh, you already beat me to the curst.

Pleasure Devil - Beguile
Mindstealer Drone - Absorb Abilities and Memory Drain

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mm/20030727a

Drain a nasty creature and add all of its HD, skills, BAB, and feats to your current totals.

Adhesive (Mimic): The auto-grapple would be nice if you can deal with some of grappling's issues.

Antimagic Grapple (Balhannoth, MMIV): Suppress a creature's items and block it from casting spells when you grapple it.  If you strip out the bit about suppressing your own magic items I could see this being useful.

Dweomersight (Balhannoth, MMIV): You can see all magic withing 120 feet, and you have blindsight out to 120 feet against any creature with magic items or active buffs.

Dimensional Lock (Balhannoth, MMIV): There is no escape.

Savage (Brachyurus): You deal bonus damage when you trip someone and you can deal the same damage as an attack of opportunity whenever anyone else trips someone.

Glitterhaunt's Earth Glide

It is slightly better than the earth elemental version sure but actually getting access to a Glitterhaunt is going to be a lot harder.

Entombed(I think, away from books) in Frostburn have Ice Glide, which could be useful depending on the situation.

Either MM III, IV or V has that one monster that can grapple and cause an AMF and Dimensional anchor effect on its victims. Aleax's Singular enemy is hilarious as well.

Google helped me: Balhannoth from MM IV. 20 ft AMF and Antimagic grapple.

What about the Devourer's Trap Essence attack? It's an insta-kill with a meele attack and Fort save and if the rumores are to be belived secures you the soul of the one you kill and that might amount to something extra.
Bloated goat prince of Undeath, master of vampires and lord of specters, Orcus, grant me your crushing might and the deadly power of your skull- headed wand! (figured what I play, yet?)

Mud Slaads can Cringe, which is a mind-affecting ability forcing you to not waste your time killing the pathetic creature. Once you've moved past, it gets up silently and stabs you in the back, of course...

Every elemental healing ability is just ridiculous fun if used right: Iron Golem (Fire), Mechanatrix (Electricity) etc.

Banelar Nagas can attack and cast spells at the same time. They can also wield magic rings, wands etc... in their BEARDS.

And how come nobody yet mentioned the Sharn? That creature is just made of awesome, unique abilities!

I see your 1 mile telepathy and raise it to 1000 mile telepathy. Check out the spellweaver.
I used to pimp this alot in the day. I didn't include it for a reason, but it does give me an idea...

So is this going to be part of a class? Or are you just mixing and matching the normal abilities with homebrew? Because some normal abilities that currently suck could be made quite excellent with fixes.
Yes. Feel free to suggest flavorful things that would be great with a little boost - preferable (Ex), but hey

I knew of and was originally hoping for something not quite as blatantly powerful as sharn independent action+dual actions+quickness but I think I'll give into the dark side. Barghest feast I forgot to mention too.

Masterful Dode [Gambol MMII109] is sweet!

The yugoloth in MMIV, Corruptor of Fate, has an awesome ability that makes anyone attacking it roll twice for the hit and twice for damage.  Your foe HAS to take the lower roll.

Oh jeez. Is there any way to get that ability onto a noncaster, nonsavant?

The feast/devour ability of the barghest maurezchin and nabassu was my idea by the way.. now something that I just came up with: the Song (Su) ability of the fierre eladrin from BoED is an at-will bardic music equivalent, so I guess it's cool enough. On another note, twin actions are good but since you are probably a caster you want to take the Two-tounges ability of the Carnevous since it also maximizes the spells you cast (while quickening them as well.. how broken can this thing be?)

Don't forget the Nilshai from UE - cast two spells per round.  Add it to the chronotyrn, etc.

Getting fire and acid healing along with Regeneration would be fun.

Getting lots of different types of regen on the same creature could be interesting.  Regen (fire/acid), Regen (silver/good/[good]), Regen (divine/blessed), Regen (electricity), Regen (good/[good]/holy water).*  You'd effectively take non-lethal damage from everything except suffocation.

*Regeneration abilities from Troll (MM1), Devils (MM1), Beast of Malar (MoF), Fire Troll (Drag Comp), Abishai (MoF/FCII), respectively.

Getting awesome Natural Armor would be cool too.  Medium Shadow Dragon = +19 natural armor.

You don't need multiple types of regen, just the Tarrasque's regeneration (which is also better than all the other types of regen combined since it explicitly gives you immunity to dying in any way expect getting suddual damage equal to hit points + 10 and then having Wish used upon you).

You wanna cast lots of stuff at once? I'd go Spellweaver (MM2): cast up to 6 spell levels at the same time, divided up however you wish. That's one 4th and two 1st level spells, or a 6th level spell, or 3 2nd level spells, or whatever. I nearly killed a PC with repeated salvoes of multiple Magic Missile spells. And again with 6 Shocking Grasps at once. Also, buffing and simultaneously attacking is nice!

Can anyone link the old reroll characters from the old board? I remember there being some where they can pretty much reroll anything all day every day

Using divine metamagic to persistent choose destiny (Races of Destiny) lets you roll twice and take the better result on basically every d20 roll.  That's the closest I can think of.

There's cheesiness with the amulet of second chances from mic, you can claim that when you use it to reset your turn, you regain the 1/day use of it. Book to the head territory, though.
