If you mix DivHead and Planeswalker, you get War Weaver.  Who knew?

PHILOTICIST

"I know it sounds cheesy, but... it's all about love, really."
-Dr. Martin James, pioneer of philotic science

A philoticist can see the connections between people, and can use those connections to aid and abet her allies' actions.

BECOMING A PHILOTICIST
Philoticists start out as DivHead/Planeswalkers.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: A philoticist gains no new weapon or armor proficiencies.

Spellcasting: At each level except 4th and 8th, a philoticist gains new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable, including spells automatically added to a spellcrystal at each level) as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which she belonged before adding the philoticist level.  She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If she had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a philoticist, she must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Planar attunement bonus: At each philoticist level except 2nd and 6th, a philoticist's planar attunement ability improves as if she had also gained a level in the planeswalker class. She gains the indicated increase to her effective planeswalker level for the purpose of determining her bonus on attunement checks, the node abilities she can activate, and the number of nodes she has access to.  She does not, however, gain any other benefit a planeswalker would have gained.

Philotic network: Philoticist levels stack with DivHead levels to determine the amount of time a philoticist may have her virtual overlay active.  In addition, whenever a philoticist activates a virtual overlay that she shares with at least one ally, she may keep the overlay active for 1 additional minute per shared ally (apply the extra minutes first, before counting the duration against the philoticist's normal maximum).

Share overlay: A philoticist can share her virtual overlay with a number of additional allies equal to her philoticist level.

Transmit (Su): Beginning at 2nd level, a philoticist can transmit magical effects to allies on her philotic network.  She can apply the benefit of any DivHead spell or a spell-like ability granted by one of her attuned nodes with a range of Close or greater to allies on her philotic network, no matter what their distance.  She may affect a number of allies at once equal to half her philoticist level, rounded up.

The maximum level of any spell or spell-like ability a philoticist can transmit through the philotic network is equal to her philoticist level.  At 5th level, the philoticist can transmit spells and spell-like abilities with a range of Touch or greater, and 8th level she can transmit spells and spell-like abilites with a range of Personal or greater.

Philotic sensor (Su): A philoticist of 3rd level or higher can treat any ally on her philotic network as a personal sensor, as per the DivHead class feature.  An ally affected by this ability cannot be seized by another DivHead, or affected by any other effect that targets divination sensors.  In addition, a philoticist can make a Perception check (DC 25) using her virtual overlay to identify any other creature that is on a philotic network (but not a normal virtual overlay).

Recenter (Su): At 4th level, a philoticist can use any ally on her philotic network as the origin point of any spell or spell-like ability she casts.

Philotic jump (Su): Starting at 6th level, a philoticist can spend a standard action to transmit her own body along the philotic network and arrive in a square adjacent to any ally on the philotic network.  She can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Intelligence modifier.

Communion (Su): Whenever a philoticist of 7th level or higher uses her transmit ability, she may now affect all allies on her philotic network at once.

Philotic call (Su): At 9th level, a philoticist can spend a full-round action to call any willing allies on her philotic network to her side, transmitting them along the network to appear in squares adjacent to her.  She can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Intelligence modifier.

Philotic web (Su): Upon reaching 10th level, a philoticist's command over her philotic network is unparalleled.  She may have her virtual overlay active continuously, adding and subtracting any number of allies from it as a move action at will.  The philotic network remains active while the philoticist sleeps.  In addition, any creature on the network may transmit their own spells or spell-like abilities to their allies across the network as if using the transmit ability; doing so requires a successful Concentration check (DC 15 + 3 x spell level).  Any given ally can only use this ability a number of times per day equal to their Intelligence modifier.

Done!

...so, is this way too powerful?  It's kind of souped up compared to a War Weaver.

Lol.  I did it because this is less of a combat class and more of a support class... do you think this shouldn't be dual-full-progression?  I dunno, maybe I've been getting into a rut of more and more powerful classes?

Also, I worked out all the class features AFTER I made the table, so maybe I would have knocked it back if I'd been thinking about it.

I'm just saying 'cause, well, War Weaver loses on 1 level of spellcasting progression so I thought this one would lose at least one too, even though it's supposed to be a support class.

edit: Rethinking a bit, you do lose some progression already because you need levels of another class before entering.. Hmm, I dunno what I'd do here, really.

Yes... you're right.  Since the abilities are more powerful than War Weaver, I'll probably drop it to 8/10 on each.

True, but that's also the case for Virtual Being, too.

I think dropping two levels of each is fine, it gets you most of the abilities for everything.  Natural entry is PW 2/DH 3... I think it works.

It can be fine, I guess. If I compare (again :P) with Virtual Being which needs at least Planeswalker 5/Holomancer 1, which is quite far behind in terms of Holomancerness in the long run. Maybe I should make a 3rd character later on and try VB, lol.

Are you going into this, or still PP?  You could be a PW 2/DH 3/PP 5/Ph 10, lol.

Nah not this one; I'm not all that interested in playing a caster with spell slots as of late. Same reason why I didn't jump on Crystal Mage when I saw it, even though it looks interesting.
