My first reaction is to go bear hug the mushroom (WITH FIRE) till it stops shrieking, but I'm not sure if that's what Legion's reaction would be...

This whole thing reminds me of an old "Deep thoughts with Jack Handy" skit from SNL. It went something like this:

"If trees screamed, would we still be so eager to chop them down?

Maybe... if they screamed all the time."

 :lmao

Legion doesn't eat, so who knows whether he likes his mushrooms well done?

I can quickly picture the Shrieker's screech going from "SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" to more of an "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!"

Lol.

Anyway Phae, the shrieking is clearly attracting other things you might not want to take out to dinner (maybe Nora'luuu would), so that seems a pretty okay strategy.

So, Legion, Snowy, and Isaac all said they're in front.  Who's in front?

Does anyone have any suggestions or preferences for rituals I should charge? With Circle of Good Hope, I can share one of them (two if I charge CoGH twice) with people within 10 feet. They only last 2 rounds, though. I have access to all the Minor rituals from the Ritualist and General lists. Some of the stand-outs for combat are Ritual of Intuition (+1 on a roll 1/round), Ritual Boost (+2 enhancement to an ability score), Ritual Combat (+2 competence to either melee or ranged attack and damage rolls), and Ritual of Protection (DR 2/- and resist energy 2), although I'm probably missing some. There's plenty of utility on the list, too, although it's easy to switch out of combat.

I'm currently walking around with the following:

Zone of Calm isn't too useful in this environment, so I was thinking of trading it out for something else, anyways. I just haven't decided what.

Sharing Protection would make the most sense.
Hmm.

If we can ready actions (not sure if we're "in combat"), Legion will ready an action to breathe on any hostiles that come within range of his breath (which is only 5 feet, so...).

I'm pretty sturdy, so I would normally volunteer frontness. But if Snowy wants to fight so bad, I'll just park behind her, letting someone else take cover behind Legion.

They'll be first together, I'll have her be in cat form for now.

So first row is Legion / Snowy (the "Breath Squad"), second is Weasel / Isaac ("the Able Swordsme...mammals" and third is Kara (only specified behind Isaac ;)) / ???

I actually think the front row is Isaac + Snowy & Legion, since in cat form Snowy can share Isaac's space.  Then Kara and Nora'luu, and then Sorrel et al.

Awesome, I'm down! It's like having a combat familiar that doesn't eat all your spells and feats, and make you suck in the process!

All kitties have breath weapons.  It's just that low-CR kitties have a breath weapon of "hairball".

We both know that's more a Hazard then a Breath Weapon. Let's not get carried away with "Interesting Wording"

No.  And no.  :)  You can track them when you get raptor arrows.
