Standard wealth by level?

How would you feel about a Jermlaine? Something that can be backgrounded in, or too out there for the small town setting?

Yup.

It's a little weird in the setting... but my policy is to make it work so you can play what you want.  So see if you can come up with a cool background, and we'll tweak until it fits. :)

I just realized we haven't deciphered the second stone in character yet. Remind me to do so once we move on.

Diploartech, CNC, welcome to the club. Refreshments are in the fridge. Pull up a chair and make yourselves comfortable.

And for everyone else, I'm planning on being more on the ball about updating this game... it's fallen far behind as my homebrewing addiction has taken off.  :(

You don't hear me complaining (possibly because sound doesn't conduct across internet forums). I enjoy your homebrew too much.

By the way, weren't there some alternate char gen rules (I think I used them) for taking some specific array instead of rolling for stats? 18/16/16/14/12/10, I believe, although I don't remember the details and I don't see it in the chargen post.

Lol!  Thanks, G -- the feeling's mutual.

Yes, you were allowed to choose either.

Oh. I didn't see that either. Can I go with the array even though I've technically rolled stats already?

You should probably update the char gen rules in this forum with the array options, since it isn't there.

CNC, that's hilarious how it worked out.  It's an easy tie-in, since Alvin already knows Sorrel.

Hi guys, Thanks for inviting me to the party, I'm about half way done with my char gen, and just had a question or three for SirP at the moment:

Whats the rule for HP generation? Max, mean, minimum etc?

Any problems with a Human Factotatum (building to Chameleon) arcane skill monkey with a penchant for running Up the Walls? I'll probably take Battle Jump at level 6 to keep my damage on pace but I don't intend to play ubercharging games.

Skill Tricks ok?

Can I handle animal a dog?

Anybody know any repeatable way to get Spider Climb? (no dips)

I'm thinking of characteriz... I mean I think my character will have a background in being a do-it-all, make all the bigger kids mad and chase him sorta thing where he would always end up jumping on roofs or trees... So lots of running up things and jumping and "climbing"

Do I sound too much like Endarire yet?

I think I was doing max, is that right?

No problem at all.

Of course to both.

Hm.  Lemme think about that.

Anybody know any repeatable way to get Spider Climb? (no dips)

1. Sovereign Glue on your gloves and shoes. Buy a million gloves and shoes.

2. As above, except you glue spiders to your hands and feet. May grant circumstance bonus to Intimidate checks vs. people who suffer from Arachnophobia. May grand circumstance bonus to Diplomacy to deal with Drow.

3. Wand of Spider Climb?

4. As 2, except with Masterwork Bees.

5. Buy two Immovable Rods and keep them in your shoes. Train your toes to press the trigger stud repeatedly. Enjoy walking on air.

6. As above, except with bedtime slippers. Pretend to sleepwalk on mid-air. Enjoy founding your new religion.

7. As above, except while you're awake. Also enjoy your new religion.

8. Hire thirty illusionists to disguise themselves as you and masquerade as you all over town. Optional: Hire a bard to play Yakkety Sax while this occurs.

Alternatively, knock the wall down. Then you can walk on it. :)
Hmm.

Ok i'm liking 3 and 5 from SS but that number 2 got me thinking, maybe I could glue a Drider to my feet?

So, Wand of Spiderclimb, UMD it, hmm can I make a spiked guantlet that looks like a spider with a wand chamber in one of the spikes so I can do some sort of silly sentai power-up and then scuttle up the wall? >.>

Ok so maybe just the wand....

How does this accomplish the goal of "get spiderclimb"?

Because it'll drive everyone up the walls?

4. As 2, except with Masterwork Bees.

Do you really think I'd allow something this blatantly overpowered in this campaign?

A young child, orphaned by war, raised in the wild by a swarm of bees?

I MIGHT allow a masterwork bee as a familiar for a lightning warrior build.
