Legion hefts his shield and morning star and says "Be careful, Isaac. Don't let this beast hit you again." Then he takes a swing at the monster.

Kara sighs. Her papa never told her that sometimes you'd have to kill something twice to get it to stop moving. Still, he told me to stay away from things ten times bigger than me, so there's no way I'm going to run up and get smacked. Best to let the stronger ones do that.

But I have to do something, even if my knives have little effect. If one of my friends falls, I could be fighting them next...I can't let that happen. She moves to the sidelines, picking out a good spot 20 ft away from the creature, and tosses a knife towards the thing that looked even uglier in its second life.
Hmm.

((I'm going to assume Isaac is staying out of bashy range...))

Legion shifts within the brute's reach, and suddenly his morningstar sprouts a number of spikes and sharp edges.  Legion clobbers the ogre with his flower of death, and tears large chunks out of the thing's silvery hide.

Sorrel fires his bow, but both shots go wide.

((SDK, how much more damage would Kara do not assuming undead immunities?))

(It would be 5 more from Dex to damage and 1d6 from Skirmish...might as well just roll that here.
Rolled 1d6 : 6, total 6
)
Hmm.

(Oh. And if it lacks the undead type altogether, -2 damage since no Favored Enemy bonus)

Nora'Luuu gives a frightful war-hiss, and proceeds to head towards the brute at *Maximum Scamper*, his longsword drawn and at the ready. Though, rather then charge in a straight line, the nimble creature attempts a series of ducks and weaves to keep his target off center, while making a line of attack.

A pre-strike flourish of his sword, as his father taught him, before the upward slash. A slash taught to him to disorient foes, and distract them from the combatants to come.

Kara's knife slams into the creature as well, and it looks rather battered, but is still moving.  Nora'luuu nimbly avoids the brute's grasp and whips his sword at the thing, but doesn't even manage to scratch through the silvery hide.

Then the creature swings an openhanded slap at Legion, crushing into his scales.

((phae, 13 damage; top of the round!))

Legion rocks with the heavy blow, then brings his thorny morning star back around in an uphand swing, aiming at the creatures head.

Isaac, stumbling farther back to ensure he is out of harms way, drops the tip of his sword on the ground, and takes a second to seemingly relax his body. He closes his eyes, and focuses his emotions...

Sorrel continues to shoot at the reanimated creature, shifting as far back as he can while keeping a clean shot.

Legion's morningstar tears more silvery flesh from the ogre, and Sorrel's second shot sticks in its hide.  The beast is wobbling now, and near finished.

[AFTER KARA'S ACTION]

Nora'Luuu has no true concept of where to strike this thing. Where does a dead creature keep its vitals, anyway? Another swing, in the hopes of hitting whatever was keeping this foul beast animate.

Seeing her chance, she moves to build up momentum, while staying a safe distance away (20 ft). She could finish this in one throw. She just needed a clear shot and steady aim and...

She flicks her wrist just as her feet find a pool of horse blood. She slides just a bit, throwing off her otherwise perfect aim. Yep. No delusions of greatness here. She really is the best around. Usually.
dice rolls and all that jazz

Hmm.

Still unable to finish the beast, Kara and Nora'luuu swat at it ineffectually, and it remains standing.

((Since I have no idea what the deal is with Shiki, and this thing has 1hp left, I'm going to give Snowy an action.))

Suddenly, the tiny and forgotten cat springs forward, jaws opening, and a gout of flame bursts forth to engulf the ogre.  The searing heat seems to be too much for the brute, and it tumbles, falling still.  Its skin suddenly turns black and rotted, as if dead for weeks.

And after coming to his senses... Nora'Luuu promptly beheads the re-killed monster. Let's see it come back without it's HEAD!

A nod to his companions on this journey. Once again, they have endured... whatever the hell this thing was.

"It's dead, right?" Isaac cautiously approaches, poking the dead remains with his sword. "Please don't get back up..."

Legion says "I believe so. This is the same transition that the... corrupted man had back in your village, after he came back from the dead and was destroyed."

While everyone is talking, Kara does a very thorough search of all lootables in the area.
The next time you see her, she is taking off a pair of rubber gloves* and has a pouch full of <insert loot here>.

*cavity searches

Sorrel finishes tending to Isaac's and Legion's injuries, then turns to the rest of the group.

"We should probably do something with those bodies before we leave. Not to disrespect the dead, but I don't want them to rise up again like our Ogre friend did. A proper burial would at least give them six feet of earth to claw through if they decide to come back (not that anything with that much eaten out of will come back as any more than indigestion), although cremation would be a bit more certain."
