Noticing that other centipede, Snowy readies her breath weapon for when it'll be in range (30 feet).

((edit: for clarity's sake.))

Gilgrim feeling the ground beneath his feet the pleasant feeling of earth all around him, prepares to battle!

Initiative 1d20+2 : 6 + 2, total 8

Noticing the new bug trying to approach, he'll try to intercept it knowing not everyone has such great senses in the dark.

Same policy as last time, shoot zem. If the initiative order doesn't force me to already, I'll wait until after our melee fighters have attacked. Precise Shot means no -4 penalty for shooting into melee, but does soft cover still apply in this situation? I forget the details.

Point Blank Shot, as always, gives another +1 hit/damage within 30'.
Attack #1, Rit. Intuition 1d20+4 : 20 + 4, total 24
Damage 1d8+3 : 6 + 3, total 9
Attack #2 1d20+3 : 4 + 3, total 7
Damage 1d8+3 : 3 + 3, total 6

Kara slides two feet over, finding the gap between her front line friends and tossing her second dagger expertly towards it.

attack/damage 1d20+10 : 16 + 10, total 26
Rolled 1d3+8 : 2 + 8, total 10
Hmm.

Confirming the crit. I think the +1 bonus from Rit. Intuit still applies. Critical confirm rolls always use your modifier on the attack that threatened them, right? If not, just subtract 1.

Attack #1, Critical Confirm 1d20+4 : 5 + 4, total 9
Extra Critical Damage (x3 multiplier) 2d8+6 : 7, 5 + 6, total 18

Between Snowy, Kara, and Sorrel, you cut down the remaining two centipedes.  You hear no more skittering, though there are still intermittent shrieks from further down the tunnel.

There's barely enough room to maneuver past the ichor-soaked bug corpses, but you can manage it.

The passage continues for a short trip, and then reaches a 4-way intersection.  Directly ahead, a few steps head downward before ending in an unbroken wall of solid glacial ice.  You can feel the chill radiating off of it.  The passage continues straight and narrow to the left and right; to the left you can hear intermittent shrieks, and to the right you can see a couple of shriveled centipede husks.

Nora'Luuu sheathes his longsword and follows the group. Upon spying the shriveled husks, the weaseloid inspects them to determine whether it was steel or sorcery that ended them.

Still in cat form, Snowy scratches the wall of ice with her little claws while looking at everyone her mouth opened, ready to breath on said wall at any sign of approval.

Kara shrugs. "Yeah, might as well melt it."

The tiny, dangerous cat breathes on the wall of ice, melting a 5-foot-deep alcove.  Back deeper in the ice is... more ice.

Snowy will continue to breath until she can see something else than ice, entering in the path she created if needed.

Nora'Luuu's attention moves from examining the corpses of the elder centipedes to the cat. Never in his life had he seen something quite its equal. What exactly was the world beyond the woods like, where such creatures as this feline and the thing that wasn't quite alive... would roam around without drawing any form of odd attention or bewilderment? Had the world beyond the woods gone mad? Or had they digressed to the point where they simply didn't care?

Nora'Luuu wasn't sure which explanation put him more at ease.

After burrowing into the ice for maybe 50 feet, it seems the tunnel opens out into an underground lake... which is completely frozen over with extremely dense ice.  The whole cavern seems to be filled with it, from the little glimpses you can get before the surface clouds with frost.

"Well... it's a good thing we didn't bore our way into a liquid lake... or you might have all drowned." Legion says, then continues "Isn't it strange for it to be cold enough to have this much frozen water in a cave? I thought they were normally moderately warm."
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.
