Simple problem, multiple solutions. [Solved]
« on: March 09, 2012, 09:45:17 PM »
Playing a dustform Warforged Artificer (don't ask) in E6. If I take a critical hit from a bludgeoning weapon I have to make a will save of 10+damage or die instantly.

The good news: We are using the vitality and wound point system, meaning crits don't do extra damage.

The bad news: Will saves are hard to pump in E6.

The terrible: Although warforged can become immune to crits, I don't qualify for the feat because of my pathetic BAB.

My best solution so far: STAY AWAY FROM THE BAD GUYS.

What's the LA on dustform? Warforged Pally 2 gives CON to WILL and Steadfast Determination gives it a second time. Dragonborn, Mineral Warrior, etc. gives you a massive boost if you have the levels to play with.
I appreciate the logical, cool-headed responses and the lack of profanity displayed by our community.

Unfortunately, the race and class are set in stone. I only have post-creation resources to work with.

There are spells that give immunity to criticals... can't recall the name though. You're artificer, so... yeah

While it does technically do the job, it also gives me a -2 to my UMD checks. I'll keep it in mind.

The spell Undulant Innards (3rd level, Lords of Madness) might also work, depending on how you interpret it. Ask your DM.
