So, I have a 4th level Warforged Artificer that I'll be playing soon. As this marks the 1st time I'll have played one, I want to make sure I don't screw this up. Standard Wealth by Level gives me 5400 gold to spend. Here's how it's going so far:
5400.0
- 150.0 (Mithril Plating of Renown)
5250.0
-1237.5 (Expeditious Messenger)
4012.5
- 750.0 (Hewards Handy Haversack)
3262.5
- 562.5 (Artificer's Monocle)
2700.0
- 375.0 (Cloak of Resistance +1)
2325.0
- 75.0 (Scroll, Restoration, Lesser x4)
2250.0
- 75.0 (Scroll, Tenser's Floating Disk x4)
2175.0
- 282.0 (Scroll, Phantom Steed)
1893.0
- 100.0 (Basics)
1793.0
- 437.0 (Crossbow of Renown w/ Wand Chamber)
1356.0
- 750.0 (Wand, Nerveskitter)
606.0
Okay, the prices for a lot of these seem off, I know. The character has the Extraordinary Artisan feat so he gets a crafting discount. The items "of renown" indicate the use of an ability of the Master (WoL, 21). The Craftsman focus can make better masterwork items. I'm sure you'll look into it. Anyway, what I need to know is am I spending this character's gold wisely? How can I better spend that 5400? I will say that the homonculus will be staying for flavor reasons. I know, I know, but that's how I roll. Thanks much in advance!
