Moderator Criticism Thread
« on: April 09, 2012, 08:42:32 PM »
This thread is for providing feedback for us, your local moderators. While we encourage using private messages, some issues are better off if they are discussed publicly, with the general users providing ideas and critiques. If you wish to PM us regarding an issue on or with the forums instead of posting it here, please send the PM to the Forum Staff account.

Bashing us is permitted, however bashing other users will not be. Any such posts will be deleted and the user responsible will be infracted.

You suck.

It's been a month, someone needed to break the ice. No really, this is a great idea.  :clap

Add to this excellent criticism the fact you really suck.

...

I'm actually kind of surprised this hasn't been used yet.

Hardly. Seems to me the majority of heated posts about moderator activities were dealt with before this one was started, so old users know the ropes. Haven't seen new, extremely active posters lately, so the number of potential infractions is bound to be quite low.

I would like to complain about Prime32 being too nice.  And veekie being too helpful.  So there.

And Sinfire Titan's post count is too low.

Yeah, what's up with that?  I'm not a mod and I'm number 6 for post count.  Sinfire needs to work harder!

On on the other side of the token, Veekie posts too much. Here is a video dramatizing his actions. Seriously man, slow down before your keyboard catches fire.

I'm just never really inactive~

Moderating ourselves too would, like, double our workload. So naah. :p

Not bashing, but wondering why this was moved to BLYHT?
http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=11855.0

It certainly didn't seem to be started to bitch, but rather to discuss something. It started out in the mature area, which I can understand. I had planned on posting to it (constructively), but just hadn't had time, and had been checking occasionally when I noticed the move.

Not to speak for the mods...

But I would assume Probably to help ease potential trolling in a possibly explosive topic, as it takes a decent post count to see and post in this forum versus simply an account in the mature.

I actually myself wondered why it was posted in the mature forum instead, since it seemed to be from a RL perspective and not a game perspective... BLYT is in "general" but mature is in "play like you have to" after all.  ;)

Because Rated M For Mature is for mature game content, BLYHT is the general 'potentially troublesome issues' board section, just as Off Topic Fun is for general non contentious issues.

So as potentially contentious, but non-RPG material, it belongs in BLYHT.
