Now you have 1,500xp.

The minimum required for level 2 is 1,000 xp.  The minimum required for level 3 is 3,000 xp.  Midway between these numbers is 2,000 xp.

Hi, I'm Lost and numbers confuse me >.<

Still works through. Plenty of ways to lose 1 XP (xp share via magical crafting comes to mind). Cheesy? Yep. Kind of the point.

You can dish out negative levels with a wizard at level 1, and add in Abrupt Jaunt to avoid attacks.

This kind of build is slightly better for arena fights than actual games, but still... you're a wizard, with some very nasty tricks, starting at level 1. It should work fine.

Speaking of burst damage. Dragonborn(heart) or Dragonfire Adapt can use Entangling Exhalation and the tactic of breath once and run like hell to pretty much kill anything. You could even Flaw out for Maximized Breath and deal 9 damage per round for 1d4 rounds.

In fact, the super long name build there can pick both those up and still have a Flaw to spare. Hmmm.... If you really can't swing Necro aim for a Lingering/Clinging/Entangling Exhalation combo. And my notes are wrong, it's +4 racial to Con using those templates which means you could be looking at 22 Con for DC 16.

The dragonborn's range is terrible, though. I forget what the DFA gets at level 1, but the dragonborn's is only 5 feet. But yeah... it's still really nasty.

15 ft cone or 30 ft line. Doubled at level 10.

Can you be evil?
Because if you can Dark Speech your swarms into having hive-minds, the best class at lv1 is warlock with an at-will summon-able lv6 sorcerer.

Seriously, if you can't break that, there's no hope here.

I can be evil.

Small update.. Looks like I'm being shoehorned into the caster role.. They don't really have one otherwise. Rather predictable, given the playgroup.

Whats this about Dark Speach now?

Care to elaborate? I've been away from the game awhile, things don't just click for me as they used to.

Or is it simple enough that I could just google each component and piece it together?

Well, for my part, Dark Speech is a [Vile] feat out of BoVD, ElE, and FC1 that can do three different things. One of which being that it can cause any (swarm) to gain a Hive Mind feature.

If you use the 1st level Invocation that summons a Swarm, then proceed to Dark Speech it to grant it a Hive Mind, then it gains Int and Cha based on the number of creatures in the swarm, and eventually Sorcerer casting as well.

Yep, level 1. With unlimited sorcerer 6 casting. From a minion with Int.

Break this or GTFO.

To help you out here, Focused Specialist is an ACF out of CM that causes you to lose one generalist spell slot per day, ban an additional school, and gain +2 specialist spell slots per day.

Abrupt Jaunt is an ACF out of PHB2 that costs you your familiar, but lets you use a short range teleport as an immediate action, which is usually used by people to teleport out of the way of attacks at the last minute.

Last minute? Try last picosecond.

Elaborate? From the Treantmonk Wizard God handbook, here's a possible example of what you will look like at fifth level:

1: Conjurer (1)(Cloudy Conjuraton, Improved Initiative, Cooperative Spell)
2: Conjurer (2)
3: Conjurer (3)(Sculpt Spell)
4: Conjurer (4)
5: Conjurer (5)

5th level: Slots: 0: 6, 1: 7, 2: 5, 3: 4

0: Caltropsx3, Detect Magic, Light, Mage Hand
1: Mage Armor, Wall of Smoke, Grease x2, Expeditious Retreat (swift), Targeting Ray, Silent Image
2: Web, Glitterdust, Cloud of Bewilderment, Rope Trick, Invisibility
3: Stinking Cloud, Glitterdust (Sculpt spell meta), Bands of Steel, Haste

Recommended Magic Items: Rod of Extend (lesser), Wand of Benign Transposition, Cloak of Resistance (+1), Headband of Intellect (Totals 8750gp) (The Rod is probably your first priority here - the Cloak of Resistance is the most expendable)

Recommended Strategy: You aren't high enough level to just blow all your spells yet. Start each battle with one of your 3rd level memorizations and then assess your situation. If it should be easy going from here on, then cast down some caltrops and make use of your cloudy conjuration feat for minor battlefield control. If things are tough - go into 2nd and 1st level spells in following rounds. Keep at least 1 Glitterdust or Cloud of Bewilderment in reserve in case there are more combats than you expected.

So how much real cheese are you looking for?

You have no other casters, so a lot of other-caster-boosting cheese (like Heartfire Fanner and some Incantatrix stuff) won't be useful.

How about this:

Lesser Axani Conjurer 1/Ardent 2/Cerebremancer 7/Mind Mage 10

Feats: Precocious Apprentice, Practiced Spellcaster, Practiced Manifester, Spell Focus (Conjuration), Psiotheurgist (Conjuration), Cerebremetamagic, some metamagic feats.

With Psiotheurgist and Twin Wells Same Source, you get Metacreativity powers and Conjuration spells at a ML=CL of 60.  Plus, you can spend powerpoints for your metamagic with Cerebremetamagic (if you need to save feats you can use the Mind Mage ability, but I think the feat is cheaper).

It's begun — my things have overgrown the previous sig.

Sigh, now some want to be wizards. Oh boy.

Now I'm thinking maybe I should fill the role of a real melee user.. one that actually grapples/trips etc, all the real stuff..

The Martial Monk from DM is neat, allowing me to easily pickup Shock trooper.. but being a monk is meh. Could even go Half mino from DM for the extra size and strength.. Optimizie this? or suggest a better way to pursue it.. I can also snag extra feats with flaws.

If you're confident about never advancing above lvl 6, why not throw on a few bloodlines?  Just pick your favorite skill and take every one you can find that boosts it.
