Campaign Thread VI: Hippos are cute until you realize they poop...

Bartholomeow will be hanging out by the refreshments, as the time of the party draws closer, he'll conjure two Unseen Servants to bear large platters of drinks and food and direct them. He doesn't look thrilled about this whole thing, though. Parties weren't really his forte; he was no social butterfly.

Teo will be standing near the entrance, in a spot where he'll have a good view of what's going on.

Okay so we have Teo at the front door, Bartholomeow in charge of the food, Zach with the Medusa, Mustave and El Cangrejo mingling, and our new friend the spider in hiding.  Have I missed anyone?

A few hours after dark a pack of women from the Assassins Guild come in and introduce themselves to all of you and the Medusa.  Some of the menfolk they intend to introduce are finishing up missions and need to clean so they'll be coming in at staggered intervals to allow for sort of a speed dating thing.

Teo: "They have you guarding the door?  You must be the tough one."

Bartholomeow: "You look magicy.  Can you do curse removal?"

Zach: "So I hear this place is haunted?"

Mustave: "Are those acid vials I hear clinking in your belt?"

El Cangrejo: "Somehow you look familiar..."

"Ja~ja, I get that often! Such is the life of an acclaim-ed Lucha. Perhaps you have seen one of my many competitive wrestling matches?"

"Oh yeah!  I was hired to off some guy at one of  your events!  Damn festive that Lucha.  I like the fried pumpkin seeds and grilled corn they serve.  You guys are alright!"

"Hmmm, an interesting proposition... exactly how wealthy are you?"

"Ah, it would not be the first fool to die at one of my matches. Many can not withstand the tremendous pressure of my hold, and perish. It is sad, jes? I do not agree to a real match with anyone these days unless they are either tough enough to stay in the ring with me, or if they boast enough. Every so often, an example must be made, and the day I meet an equal in the ring will be a joyous day, indeed!"

"My undies are woven from platinum.  I leave them as my calling card when I do a job."

Of course. Not like I'm going to come out from hiding now that all the assassins are here.

"Yes, they are, actually. I try to keep a wide variety of tricks handy at all times.

So, do you ever employ exotic or dangerous substances in your line of work? Can you make any recommendations for a small guy who isn't into using brute force?"

Despite his typical inattentive tendencies, Mustave maintains interest, leaning forward, smiling most of the time.

"That's fascinating. And here I thought I was breaking new ground with acid. You know, being a jester and all, I've made pies before with acid mixed in to throw. I always thought the effect was rather clever and fitting, but in all honesty, it's a pain to carry around several dangerous pies. Acid vials that can be safely stowed away work much better for my use.

How long have you been in this line of work? Do you have a favorite method you like to use?"
