Obviously means that they should not try to optimize AC, but that offensive power is what is needed to succeed.
Sooo... he was the first charger to take Shock Trooper to utilize Heedless Charge?

Or the first Fistbeard Beardfist...  Is it possible to have a super high con and be that emaciated looking?
Well, there is no way of knowing what he really looked like. Also, it is entirely possible that he was capable of amazing Disguise checks.

There's biblical evidence for that, too. Several of his close friends couldn't recognize him at point blank range when he was traveling with him after the resurrection.

Wow. This does really map well to D&D. I guess it makes sense with his dad throwing high level spells around.

John chapters 20 and 21 are a reference of Jesus's friends not recognizing him after his resurrection.

This is the part of the forum where no one's allowed to have a sense of humor.
I have been accused of being cold and calculating. Indeed I do enjoy the (usually) rational thinking on this forum.

However I find nothing humorous here. A few things I find very saddening though.
My avatar seems quite relevant in this situation ;)

I'd also like to mention that I've run into a lot of gamers over the years who are either atheistic, agnostic, or have beliefs where the New Testament isn't part of it - the Jews don't use the New Testament at all, and neither do Muslims as far as I am aware. I've also played with a lot of people who follow other traditions, like Wiccan, for example. So for someone not to be aware of Biblical quotes with respect to gaming.. I'm surprised that people are surprised, given the amount of people that believe in things other than the New Testament.

Now, where's those scrolls from Sarpadian Empires volume IV again..

Judges 11 discusses:
-The wiles of adventurers.  (They're called out as such!)
-Why some things are more important than following every rule.

Judges 14
discusses:
-The problem with using riddles.
-Righteous fury, analagous to a God-granted Barbarian rage.

Quote from: The Esteemed Dr. Wik I. Pedia
In Islam, the Bible is held to reflect true unfolding revelation from God; but revelation which had been corrupted or distorted (in Arabic: tahrif); which necessitated the giving of the Qur'an to the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, to correct this deviation.

Jesus was also a messenger of God according to Islam. (But not the son of God)

I thought rpgs were the tools of the devil or some such nonsense, but seems like Jesus didn't talk about them anywhere.

In John chapter 2, Jesus transforms water to wine at a wedding, implicitly saying, "Alcohol is good."

The deeper message of John 2 is the transformation from the old self, symbolized by the icky foot washing water (which is what was normally kept in those jars) into the new self, symbolized by the best wine this Earth has ever tasted.  And how?  Through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior.  (Jesus talks about the notion of new wine for new wineskins in Mark 2:22.)

So what you're saying is that polymorph and other forms of shapeshifting is approved (and recommended) by Jesus?

Mark 9:2-12 covers the transfiguration of Jesus.  So, in the appropriate context, yes.

Atheists are frequently more well versed in the bible than their religious counterparts.  They have to be to pick it apart to annoy their rivals ;)

A lot of that has to do with miniatures and casting.  The locals think of miniature painting as a hobby as devoting yourself to graven idols.  Since dnd includes magic, they have the same objection to it that they do Harry Potter: it supposedly increases the chance witchcraft or paganism will be acceptable.

This is ironic, since it's the reason I'd consider myself an agnostic atheist.  :smirk
