But since the quarterstaff isn't a reach weapon, you'd gain no benefit for it's size change beyond damage.
I think you guys have convinced me. A tiny fey using an oversized ("small") quarterstaff still cannot attack into the adjacent hex since he'll still be using his natural reach (2-1/2 feet).
