Vexing Flanker
« on: May 23, 2012, 05:35:46 AM »
Vexing Flanker gives a character a +4 instead of +2 when flanking. The text for the feat never says anything like "doubles the bonus for flanking", but it does say the normal bonus is +2.

How does this interact with Kenku and their Great Ally ability? They already get +4, so is it that they gain nothing? Or do they get a +8 when flanking?

RAI, it'd probably be either +6 or +8. RAW it is certainly +4.

I'm not familiar with Kenku, but I'd probably give Vexing Flanker a +2 on top of other bonuses.  So with both Kenku, VF, and regular flanking, you get a +6.  This also fits with D&D doubling math, ie doubling a double is a triple.
