Another question from me! This group is taking such a pain to be built...  :rolleyes

One of my characters wanted to know if he could get Alternate form via any feat/ritual/template (like the Dragon ones, you get a humanoid shape to use as long as you wish, to conceal your nature) while avoiding magic items, because of VoP.

(I fear this is to get a DWK Warshaper with permanent warshaper abilities, but whatever. The group is really high-end OP as it is, it wouldn't be that much)

Changeling (Eberron Campaign Setting) is a +0 LA base race that can assume any humanoid form.  The ability is based on disguise self, but it's a physical alteration instead of an illusion and doesn't effect gear.

The humanoid shape invocation (Dragon Magic) allows you to assume any humanoid form, is usable at-will, and lasts 24 hours.  It's based on the change shape ability.  You'd need 6 levels of dragonfire adept to get it.

There's Alternate Form from Dragonlance: Age of Mortals. It requires dragon(adult or older) and caster level 5th. If you're talking about a DWK it might be possible (so not opening that mess up again), and it allows one set form. It's not really that great, but it's an option.

That's the one. It turns out it wasnt for warshaper abuse and it was only to stay in disguise while in human kingdoms and such

There are a couple of feats in Dragons of Eberron that give you the alternate form ability I believe.  One of them even lets you assume a humanoid form that has the half-dragon template applied to it, for extra STR & CON.
