Thought that was only arcane spells?

I remember thinking that nature worshiping Druids were getting off fairly light

"Arcane focus" was the key word set.

Remember, it's okay not to have complicated(and sometimes "silly") racial choices/combinations for the sake of optimization. ;)

Putting the Primordial Giant template on a Half-Giant isn't silly.

If I put it on a real giant it would be Primordial Giant Hill Giant or whathaveyou.   :P

Spell likes have no verbal, somatic or material components and never use a focus or xp component

I meant the arcane focus required to cast spells in this setting, not just spell components.   :P

Spell-like abilities are neither arcane nor divine. The focus is only for arcane spells.

I thought I posted this question... but I don't see it anywhere.

Can we change the prereqs on Extra Readied Maneuver? Who thought making that Swordsage only was a good idea?

Yes, with all the homebrew martial adepts around that's a very good idea.

Anyone have ideas for a more inclusive set of prereqs?  Lol.
So... any ideas on this? How about IL 1 and Martial Lore 4?

IL 1 by itself ought to be fine, wouldn't you say?

Stance on something like Born of Three Thunders Energy Substituted(electricity) Kelgore's Gravemist is what?

You know, in case using Elemental Magic in a semi-creative way were to become my new goal in my character's life.
I mean, you can have A SLA of a Metamagic'ed Spell...

@nans -- yes, I said a while back that you only need a focus for casting arcane spells.  SLAs get off easy.

@phae/Boz -- IL 1 isn't helpful if you don't have any maneuvers... you can get IL 1 by, you know, being a Level 2 Commoner.  I would say IL 1 and the knowledge of and ability to ready at least one maneuver.

I'm not sure what you're asking.  Or is this the whole "whether you can stack metamagics based on the altered spell effect" debate?  Yeah, BoTT + ES(E) is fine.

I'm not sure what the IL part is even there for, since everyone gets it at level 2, anyways. Like Weapon Finesse's prereq and drawing a weapon while moving, it only ever restricts 1st level characters, and most of the game is played beyond 1st level where it doesn't matter.

A better requirement would be more maneuvers known than readied (so that the feat actually has an effect) and the ability to recover maneuvers. Also put in the feat that you have to choose which martial adept progression you're applying it to when you get it (much like PrC bonus maneuvers readied), and that it doesn't give additional granted maneuvers (unlike PrC bonus maneuvers readied).

Yes... that's good.  Well done, G.  I'm going to put this version of the feat into the houserules (albeit in a roundabout way).

Didn't someone ask about getting items that normally only have even bonuses with odd ones? Like a Cloak of Charisma +3, for example?

Are any dead levels being used?

Given the number of +1s from monster classes and such, could ability-boosting magic items get odd advancements too?  +1=1,000, +3=9,000, etc?  Will the various tomes work like chapters where the +1 costs 27,500g, then the +2 would cost another 27,500g, etc?
Sure, you can use dead level abilities (even though there are a lot fewer dead levels...).  And yes, the tomes can work like that, though they get progressively harder to find as you get to higher boni.

It wasn't specifically addressed.  lol

Perce, will you allow a swashbuckler's Arcane Stunt in place of Grace for feat requirements, and have it progress with the multiclass feats like Grace does?  There's also other multiclass feats that progress abilities that can be traded out, but some of them might not be thematically appropriate I suppose.  Devoted Tracker for one, and the pally ACF to swap the mount for charging smite.  Blah, so many ACFs...  lol

Oops. Yes, odd pluses are fine.  As is progressing/qualifying with Arcane Stunt.

I'm not sure what you're asking.
Well the entire concept has a lengthly backing to it but the question is based on a spell with a duration. Example being Kelgore's Gravemist which Fatigues and deals 1d6 damage to all targets within it for each round. Would BotT apply on each round adding the Stun & Prone saves as well, or is "concludes" empathized and BotT's effect only happen at the end of the spell?

The play here is TO'ing homebrew (and if BotT Gravemist hits every round, dibs).

Ah, okay.  BoTT happens at the end of the spell.  "Concludes" seems pretty clear.

And as to that TO homebrew, my ruling would be that you can't copy metamagicked spells.  Yes, you can have an SLA of a metamagicked spell, but this particular ability doesn't allow it.  That should cut down on some abuse.

Also, technically epic level spells aren't 10th level spells because they don't take up spell slots of that level.
