Is Entangling Exhalation worth two feats, one to gain the breath weapon and then one for the feat itself, or should I let our resident Dragonheart Adept have the breath weapons?

With two other breath weapons in the party my elemental will pass.

Now to figure out what feats are good for it...

Feats for the companion have been chosen, I'm now waiting for affiliations to be completed so I can pick one and finish feats/skills to wrap everything up.

I'll wrap my character up after I get home from work tomorrow. I think I'm going to officially drop the super-experiment idea and thus monster multiclassing.

SirP, I only just now really noticed that Magic-blooded can only technically be taken by Humanoids and monstrous humanoids; can I actually take magic-blooded even though I'm technically an aberration? If not I suppose I'll have to drop it or find some other way to qualify. I mean, mostly all it does for me is net me a +2 to cha to help boost my save DC's, which is great, though I can shore that up with my newly opened feats if need be. I'd still prefer not to have to give it up but I'll go with whatever you rule.

Well, I had okayed it for thematically-appropriate non-PHB races, but I think we should probably still respect the allowed types.  :/

Aww... really? I had actually applied it to my shield guardian, as I thought you'd given this a blanket OK... :(

Then I may as well use one of my newly free feats to make sure I can bump my save DC's back up. Ah well!

Wait... I don't want to be inconsistent.  Phae, can you quote where I okayed that?  I sorry...  :bigeyes

No, I can't... I think I just saw "approved" and not the rest of the sentence (for appropriate races). :P I mean... what's appropriate mean? I could argue that for about anything, I think. A golem made by spellcasters, specifically to fight spellcasters? Why wouldn't they throw in a bit more OOMPH on his special abilities? Hmm... sounds appropriate to me! :D

Also, if its balanced mechanically, then it's balanced and should be allowable, I reasoned. If it's not, then it's not. Your call, though. I took it to boost my DCs, as I'm sure everyone else did. I can live without it, though.

Meh, whatever.  I don't really care... go ahead and have it, guys :)  I'd rather have my players be happy.

I'll add it to the houserules to make it clear.

Hooray!  To be fair I just looked up the stats and never looked at the source material so I didn't even realize it had type requirements.   :blush

Me too. :P Hell, until someone posted the full benefits here, I didn't even know it granted anything beyond +2 Cha/-2 Wis and changing your favored class to sorcerer.  :D

Yeah, it wasn't until last night that I really noticed the type requirements. I don't really see the reasoning behind such stringent restrictions other than fluff, which most of us haven't read anyway.

I must say, this whole thing rather amuses me.  I almost feel like my character is an outsider in this group, but I suppose that's a good thing since we need variety.  And crashy smashy.

Actually, Nanshork and I are the only ones employing any shenanigans as far as race goes, and even then it's not as complex as it could be (you should see one of the other teams' characters, a Warforged Incarnate Construct Dragonborn Lolth-touched White Dragonspawn. Now there's a mouthful. :D)

Also, thanks Perce. Though I wouldn't blink if it were simply limited to living, corporeal creatures. Basically, things that actually have blood (or its equivalent, such as the fluid of a living construct) that can be magic. :P

Yeah, I actually called mine "Magic-Oiled" in my character sheet. :P

If it's the White Dragonspawn(Spawn of Tiamat) from Monster Manual IV, that is a race in an of itself. So if so, the question this raises is how can he be two races at once? Not to mention that he's both a Dragonspawn of Tiamat and a Dragonborn of Bahamut, extremely curious how that came to be heh.

It is probably the Dragonspawn template from one of the Dragonlance Campaign Setting books.
