The thought that higher-intelligence people get bored easily is laughable, or that being bored would prevent all people from continuing with courses.  I'd like to know how they came to that kind of thinking.

I'm terrified that they intentionally select slightly-above-average people.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/nationnow/la-na-nn-baby-messiah-20130811,0,5368290.story

A Tennessee judge cites Jesus as a reason to change a baby's name from Messiah.  The parents wanted the judge to settle a dispute, what The baby's last name was going to be.  The judge changed his first name too.

The too smart Cops thing ... I've heard stuff
like that before.  The job needs lots of training
and a Town/City wants to save money by not
dumping tons of time/moolah into a guy who
up and leaves a few years later.  Same kinda
thing about the ability to move up the ladder.

Contra ... perhaps the local council is concerned
that shmart cops will see through the drug war
nonsense too easily and be rational, instead of
following directions no matter how wasteful.

So apparently Scandinavian male nude swimmers should beware!  There's a new fish inhabiting the waters that likes to eat testicles.  The fish is called a pacu, and it's indigenous to the Amazon, and eats nuts/vegetables/fish, and can't survive long (the winter, anyways, apparently it can survive a while in the summer even though it's a fresh water fish) in the Dutch waters.  And was probably a single fish.  That was released by a family who thought it got too big.  And doesn't eat testicles at all.  Yeah, news agencies are stupid....

^ I'm actually really interested in the part where a freshwater fish was surviving in seawater.

I've heard of this many years ago, too.  But the lawsuit was over a test the guy took in 1996, so maybe this WAS the story I had heard of before.  How did the legal battle go on for almost 2 decades?!

So he covered up with his jacket...?

I wonder if this woman is also offended by men keeping rolls of quarters in their pockets.

I think the point is that's what he said happened, but that's not what she said happened (it could have been that he ws covering up, but she thought he was masturbating?).  Still.  Peppermint oil.  On his junk.

He's from Utah.

I think that would explain everything, one way or another.

The Provo "Happy Valley" area does have a slightly higher rate of porn watching and such than some other places in Utah, at least according to cable companies.  Dunno what ISPs say about it.

Don't I wish.  I'd be friggin' rich right now if I'd ordered that one.  Ohio is weed central.
