Any suggestions?
Roses are Red. Gaming is fun. You're over encumbered and cannot Run.

Since it's that kind of forum, I've found Dungeons and Dragons Online to be fun so far.  My own experiences might be cut short on it though, since my graphics card gave me a  :fu while I was playing.  That's what I get for having a six year old laptop.

What do you mean by this? That I will spend an inordinate amount of time in elevators ala Metroid Prime?

I'm guessing it's a straight upwards line from beginning to end. I.E. game's too linear.

Now we need Mori putting some more money on this, so we can get a real anime...

...maybe when the third part is released?

Well, I suppose they could do the same for GG when they FINALLY get around to sorting the legal mess that has prevented us from enjoying more of its goodness.

Thank god this is the #1 search result on Google for "how much is a one year wow subscription".  I went onto my battle.net account to try and find it through their online store, but Blizzard is being mysterious as fuck about the prices on their games for some reason.

While I'm on the topic, anyone else considering doing the 1-year WoW subscription = free D3 and a spot in the next WoW beta thing?  It's a little more expensive than just flat buying D3 upfront, but you don't have to drop the second half of the payment until 6 months in if you go the economy route and buy 6-month blocks of time.

A number of my guildees have done it,I was going to do it but I realized I wasn't going to be able to afford it over that time frame due to health issues and not knowing what was going to happen the next month, my main reason of having wanted to do it was for the Beta acess for MoP

Looking at MoP... they're really changing the game there.

I think it makes sense that they're doing it.  They stated that they wanted to get rid of the "boring" efficiency talents when they did the current talent design, but then people took the "interesting" talents that Blizz tried to do and make them into efficiency talents, and causing people to want to be cookie cutter again so that people don't bitch at them in raids for having some 44k DPS instead of 45k DPS.

EDIT: Looking again at MoP... I don't think I like the way they're changing it.  I was wanting to get into Cataclysm because they made some changes to the talent system that looked really cool to me, and very well may have made the best system yet in that respect.  I never had the money to play Cataclysm, though, and looking at the new setup, they're not really encouraging players to be individuals, they're steamrolling everyone into cookie cutter builds with just a few, quirky differences between them that really aren't substantive at all.  The style of play I was really hoping to do in Cataclysm that will be almost impossible in MoP: DPS Healer.

DPS healer sounds like Discipline Priest to me.  They'll bake most of the talents into the necessary specs, so everything you need to play your spec is already there.  Looking at the talents, there does seem to be some DPS healing help with priests. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-calculator#X!

Of note are the Divine Star, Power Infusion, and Vampiric Dominance talents.  Spec abilities include Evangelism, which is solely DPS.  I'd say it's looking to be decently viable.

Since I'm originally a paladin player though, I'm a bit pissed off that Holy Wrath is Holy-only, while Exorcism is Ret-only, among other things.  Given some other changes though, I guess I'm still looking forward to how paladins will play out.  I definitely expect a couple things to be nerfed, especially the combo of a no-cooldown Judgement both increasing the paladin's speed and decreasing an opponent's.

Evangelism isn't anything new, though.  Divine Star, though... Maybe.  I'm kinda mourning the loss of Atonement, but I guess Divine Star could, potentially, do enough damage to compensate for that loss, and then free me up to do other stuff.  The thing about DPS healing that I like, though, is that it gives me something to do when there's nobody to heal (which is pretty common, I've always been liberal with HoT's and that kept most people topped off).

Also, all the healers have a DPS healing option.  Druids get free Wraths to shoot off once all their HoTs are up, Shamans have Telluric Currents or Focused Insight (but not both, because the other talents are too good), and Paladins have Judgments of the Pure, Denounce, and can basically go all Shockadin in an instance while still keeping up the slack on Healing with Word of Glory and instant-cast Flash Heals on his Holy Shock crits.

Say, I've been out of the computer gaming loop for... a while.

Any good games you guys recommend? Anything not requiring state-of-the-art hardware to run and with graphics that aren't TOO dated. Adventures and RPGs preferred, though some action is fine (especially if it plays well with a joystick).  :D

Well, if you have a Steam account, or are willing to get one (the account is free), and you like old-school JRPGs, then I highly recommend Cthulhu Saves the World.  It's bundled with a second one, Breath of Death VII, but I haven't tried that one yet, and it costs a mere $3 US.  The game is absolutely hilarious, fun, and has a great soundtrack.

I'll also reiterate my previous recommendations for The Binding of Isaac, Terraria, and Dungeons of Dredmor, each of which is about $5 US on Steam.  My current play time on each: The Binding of Isaac: 77 hours, Dungeons of Dredmor: 78 hours, Terraria: 222 hours(!!)
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

Dear Esther is pretty awesome.  :< It's less a game and more of a "Grief-Stricken Man Simulator," but it's really, really beautifully done.  I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for well executed story.  Slightest of spoilers:
