Oh, dang, that's cool.
Why do I have such a hard-on for well-made replicas and props?
Probably because I aspire to such greatness, but know I may never reach it...  :(

peek at page 2

Oh hey, it's Matt Groening!

But yeah, I wish that Dave Arneson got more credit.  D&D would've been a radically different game without him.

Everything is edible. Just that there are things only edible once per lifetime.
It's a god-eat-god world.

Procrastination is the thief of time; Year after year it steals, till all are fled,
And to the mercies of a moment leaves; The vast concerns of an eternal scene.

Definitely awesome when using the strict definition of the word, but I've never seen such a sobering info-graphic video. :<

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=QGH08OyQXg4#t=111s

Japan's March 11th earthquake.  Very effective use of data, video and sound to tell just how devastating that earthquake was, not to mention its nigh thousand aftershocks (<1.0 excluded) that tortured the sanity of the survivors for months and months to come.  The charts at the beginning and end are great too.

I'm a little curious, anyone know if Japan (or parts of it) moved west or east or if it gained any elevation?  I heard some silty areas sunk due to soil liquefaction, but with the way the plates are moving I always imagined such a powerful seismic event would move the country up a bit, even if but a few inches.

Nukes hit cities and major population centers in fiction all the time.  Have you ever wondered about the thermal impact and area of effect a nuke would have on New York or Moscow?  Just search for a city, select your nuke, and voila!

And the OST needs to come out, like, right now ^^

And if I'm interpreting that trailer right, they'll be telling the Gandalf side quest tale to drive out the Necromancer as well - to which I can only say "Oh Hell Yes!"

Yo dawg, I heard you like houses so I put a house in your house so you can live while you live.

This has been in my in-law's attic for something like 15 years, and now it's in my basement. My three-year-old loves it. The guy who made this was pretty talented.

I just bought 19 movies today for $55! - 15 old Clint Eastwoods and The Magnificent Seven and its sequels. I do need to get the Kurosawa Seven Samurai though.
