You should see some of the 80's subtitling where it was done by the chinese company employee who had english as maybe a third language.
Apparently he believes kill, die, dead, and every variation there of is covered by kill. As in "How did he kill?" instead of "How did he die."
They also apparently believe love, sex, getting laid, etc can all be covered with the word 'rape'.
There's an old book from the 90's i have devoted to teh subject.
