I once worked as a lab tech where I measured out pure, solid caffeine for experiments (related to cancer research, believe it or not). It is hydrophobic, and so readily passes through your skin, so I had to be very careful when handling it not to get it on me. Even a light dusting on your arm above the glove would give you a buzz.

It's hydrophobic? Didn't know that. Also did not know that hydrophobic necessary were absorbed into the skin easily, why is that?
