I am all for governments looking after false promises. There cases where they can get excessive though and that should be avoided... at least unless hilarity like this ensues. Just reading that made it worth the cost of the investigation.

There was, we had a running gag about it for an entire camp when the law was active. It was about how badass we were for defying the EU by buying bent cucumbers straight from the local farmers, that shit was underground I tell you.

There is still a shop at a marketplace in Helsinki that refuses to sell anything but illegal ones. Whenever I visit the place in the morning (which is rarely, I am nocturnal), I buy a few just because of that.
