No, don't worry about it, your post was fine. Just let things move on and we'll get around to it. Not everything can go everyone's way all the time.

Cross checking, which tags remain unused?

Kitty's plan:
-The cyanide and the vampires need to go somewhere.
-The tunnels are a nonideal location for both since we and a bunch of innocents are also in them.
-Opening a Way is a thaumaturgic ritual at a complexity equal to the local barrier strength.
-Leo can pull off rituals with complexity 5 without preparation.
So, Leo could squat down for an exchange or two channeling energy (optionally, with Kitty's help) into opening a Way, then we have Phil toss the canisters and the vamps through, and close the Way again. Now it's the problem of whatever's on the other side. :D

The question is, can we reliably open the portal and shove just the bad guys through (specifically, the vampires), and close it again, all in short order, and prevent anything nasty from coming out?

Leo's plan, I imagine, involves running. As an alternative, he could cast a stability spell so we'd have less chance of tripping, or an anti-grav spell to make us all lighter so we can run faster...

The first half is simple enough. A decent Way can theoretically be cast in one action, two if you want to be safe. As for something nasty coming back through... well, I'm hoping that having two steel canisters, a tornado of cyanide, and two vampires ejected through the Way might cause enough momentary confusion on the other side for us to get it closed again.
This doesn't stop anyone on the Nevernever side from getting mad at us, but them's the breaks. :P

As for running away, that would leave us with the issue of a subway train full of innocents being left exposed to a tunnel full of cyanide gas and two vampires (also, the vampires are faster than us if they want to give chase).

Also once they're through the Way I could hit them with a maybe 8-10 shift forced movement and punt them over the moon to boot. All that's left after that is closing the gap.

Alternatively I shoot the cloud of cyanide gas with a lightning bolt while it's in the Nevernever and we duck while the explosion destroys/distracts everything.

As a side note, I've picked up reading the books again and have been getting through them at a pretty good clip. Just finished Death Masks, and am currently a good chunk into Blood Rites. \o/

That's cool. Keep going, they keep getting better!

Also, a roll to control those shifts of power would probably be helpful to go with that IC post.

I think it's Leo's turn to do that second roll for control so Phil can do some disposing.

Well, I'm pretty sure I can just close the Way by just not continuing to keep it open, right?

I've been waiting to see if anyone else had anything to add, but if the above is true then I can just post Leo letting the portal collapse and getting the heck outta there. :)

Of course, no difficulties in closing the Way. It's just likely the polite thing to do rather than letting it shut on its own, given what could come through.

...like you guys. :P

Sorry, thought I had posted about that but I've been very busy lately and then this past extended weekend (Thursday through today) I've been out of town for a Convention, and now I'm on my way to a dinner with family an hour away from home, so I'll be tied up through tonight as well.

Feel free to wrap things up if you want. If you don't, I'll try to make a post tonight or tomorrow morning.

No worries, I've been only sporadically available for the last few days myself, and from probably Wednesday through the 14th of April I won't be around much at all. So you guys can take that time to riff a little bit before I get the ball rolling again.
