Beorn weighs the situation for a moment, then, deciding the use of magic is not yet warranted, calmly sidesteps and lines up a clear crossbow shot

The fling Gnoll Mikkel has turned into goes just within reach of his Guisarme, and stabs the spider.

Kalal's Guisarme tears into the spider deeply as he charges forward.

Beorn's bolt bites just after Kalal's charge gashes.  The spider flinches but its focus has now locked onto the new threat of Kalal.

Everybody be careful. Beorn warns his companions.I think this spider might be one of those corrupted creature. You really don't want to get bitten by it. Oh, and it's also poisonous.

OOC: On his turn after Beorn...

Jax darts across the field to get a better angle on the monstrosity laying into his companions.  Finding an opening he takes a shot.

Attack/Damage on Spider (1d20+8=19, 1d8+1d6+8=17)  Forgot -4 so the Attack Roll is actually 15

He moved to-A,8

On Mialgrus Turn:
Guys, we should surround it and flank it. The gnoll barks quickly.
Then he shifts around behind the group, and stabs the spider with his guisarme. Hoping the stone-dwarf will keep between him to protect him.

The entrapped Brone is unable to get free and only manages to struggle around near the spider.  His allies come rushing to his aid as an arrow flies in to strike, causing a distraction but little else as it is unable to pierce the thickened skin of the spider.

The bolt from Beorn strikes true, but the spider seemingly shrugs it off and makes.

Mialgru makes a tactical move to slide into a better position to attack the spider, but even with this advantage is unable to slice through the thick, mottled skin.

The spider rears back to attack the entangled Brone.  A disturbing crunch is heard as the huge mandibles find their way onto its prey.

He moves fifteen feet to his right to once again have a full view of the spider.

Well projectiles don't seem to be too effective so let's try something a little different, he thought.

A few motions of his hand were made and some words are spoken before his palm is thrust forward. A coruscating ray fires from his palm towards the spider, with the intent of weakening it.

Mialgru shifts around the spider again and attacks it again. If at first you don't succeed, try again.

Tork is still hidden and moves to E7 and strikes the spider from behind. Tork moved so he can not hide again but he is still in "Child of Shadows Stance" (20% to miss me).

When moving he used his "Wind Stride" manuver to get a +10 to movement for this round and moving at 1/2 speed to keep from getting a penilty to my hide roll.  I am striking while I'm hidden so I believe the spider does not get his dex to his AC plus Tork moved to a spot that gives me flanking on it "+2 to hit".

Hide:
Rolled 1d20+11 : 17 + 11, total 28
attack:
Rolled 1d20+3 : 7 + 3, total 10
damage:
Rolled 1d4+4 : 2 + 4, total 6

- Tork

The inky black rays that emanates from Bobbyknockles handles strikes the spider squarely from behind.  It shakes under its own massive weight and visibly weakens.

Kalal takes a step back, and swings his long axe at the beast, trying to end this fight.

Cool, Kalal attacked before Tork.

O, add +4 for to my attack from Kalal's Vanguard Strike (DS1, if hits allies gain +4  to attack target till next turn).

With the help of Tork Kalal's great polearm catches the spider off guard tearing another great gash in it.  It steps sideways slightly into Tork under the force of the blow catching Tork slightly unaware and his attack goes wide of the mark.  The spider is seeping a greenish ichor from its wounds and under the force of so many attacks seems to be reeling a bit.

Brone gives a deep inhale of shock as the teeth sink into him, and it seems as though his whole effort were focused on not immediately fainting. As is, he seems to crumple, before rolling once more, and in a spin, rises slashing at the web with his rapier and offhand both. Raising his guard again, his stance barely changes as he hops backwards a clean 10 ft with skill - seemingly a reverse lunge. As the obnoxious restraints fall, he looks positively murderous, with the only slight attention paid to the massive holes in his abdomen.

With his companions striking and dancing about the foul spider it was hard to get a clear shot.  Then Kalal's strike provided just enough opening to get a fairly clear shot.  Moving quickly to angle on the opening Jax moves 10ft and looses his arrow.  Jax curses as his shot misses the gap and ends up glancing off the spiders carapace ineffectively.

Since his companions have shuffled about since his last turn, Mialgru moved to B8 and stabbed the spider instead.

Seeing that bolts and arrows did little more than scratch the carapace of the spider, Beorn lowers his crossbow and takes a few seconds to assess the tactical situation. Seeing Bobbynock reaching the same conclusion, he raises his hand and starts speaking in Draconic.

Brone slips free from the spider and steps away from its range, he feels poison coursing through him, but manages to shake off most of the effects of the virulent fluid that the greater spider injected.  An arrow from Jax forces it back as it prepares to charge after Brone again, and then the intonations of Beorn bring magic down upon the creature, but its mindlessness leave it unaffected by the magic.

While this is happening Mialgru slips into another position and brings his great polearm down upon the spider, it cracks against the carapace but is unable to pierce through.

The spider mindless pursues Brone opening itself to several attacks of opportunity.

Kalal, Mialgru, Tork and Mizar if you are still around.
