Reaper Kickstarter (get miniature for less than $1 per)
« on: August 16, 2012, 10:50:51 PM »
Reaper (the big name miniatures company) is doing a Kickstarter.  As of right now, for $100 ($110 for you "international" people) you can get 137 miniatures as they're produced.  The more stretch goals are met, the more miniatures you get for your money.  You can also spend less money and get less stuff.   :p

Check it out!

I was looking at them, but couldn't figure it out. How big/small are these minis?

The minis are about the same size as any other rpg minis (I don't know how big Warhammer, etc. minis are so I can't make a comparison there.

I found this if you're looking for a size comparison with other companies.

Hmm.., thanks Nanshork. Just wondering if they would fit in my grids... Do they?  :???

If yes, I guess my pockets will be a few bucks lighter for a while  :rolleyes

Not a problem.  They seem to be pretty standard size, from what I've seen.

I want to give them money but I don't have any, to the point that I have to borrow some just to pay bills.   :shakefist

If they are the same scale as warhammer the human sized ones will fit on a 1" square grid perfectly (they are slightly bulkier than the D&D minis but much better quality). Larger creatures vary though.

So, holy crap. #3 kickstarter of all time. 3.4+ million.

I threw $150 into the pot, and I'm aiming for a pathfinder dragon, some demons, the last-minute added Cthulhu, and maybe some giants. I may not make it past their survey without a few more things tacked on, because, damn, that's some nice options there. I might go for a skeletal or clockwork dragon..

Yep.   :D

I put in $125, going to get the miniatures case and then trade Sophie in for cthulhu and some dragons.  I might throw more money at them, we'll see how things go.

I put in 155 for the miniatures case and transport. Pretty good deal all told. Finishing up with what, 240 minis?

I'm in this for way, way more than I should be. I'm one of the crown jewel backers. If they let me I'll post Picts of what I get.

I think I'm going for Vamp x 2 or 3, plus one of practically all optionals. The two little dragons look cheesy. Anybody have them? Don't need the little 'thulu things, and don't do any underwater stuff for the sadhuagin.

Interesting gaming quote of the day: "I order the buffet table to grapple the halfling captain."

Wow, you have way more money than I do!

I'm happy that the kickstarter pledge manager thing is going to come out after I get a paycheck so I might dump more money into it.

Is it just me, or the amount of minis in the Vampire Level increased? I'm not following this closely, so I might have missed something...

Most of the stretch goals added minis to the Vampire level.
