Spell Storing Bows

Can you make a +1 Spell Storing Composite Longbow?
The Spell Storing property doesn't have a line that says "only melee weapons can be Spell Storing" like Vicious does, but neither does it have a line that says "Ranged Weapons bestow the stored spell upon ammunition" nor is Spell Storing one of the abilities on the random loot table for ranged weapons.

Arguably it would trigger if you hit someone with the bow rather than firing arrows out of it...

Yeah. I'm gonna go with spell storing ammunition, not a bow. However, you could, in theory, have it on a Sword-Bow, but then it would only work when you had it in sword form.

Darn.  I'd rather have it on the bow itself, just because no game I've ever played in has tracked ammunition.  Oh well.

I recall some rule of bows being enchanted separately for smacking (like a club) and firing arrows. I think it was for bows in general, but it might have been for an elvencraft bow...

That sounds right. It was either an elvencraft bow ("Races of The Wild", p. 166), or magical properties like Swordbow (RoW, p.171)... although the text on the latter seems to imply that the magical abilities applicable to a single form of the weapon, would have to be bought at twice the normal price, but only apply to the appropriate form.

Spell storing ammo would be monstrously nasty though. How many spells can you shoot in a full attack?

not saying any of that is rules legal but makes for amusingly broken idea, take a "damage" spell, basically guarantee the arrows hit, double the number of arrows?

On a serious note would splitting effectively double the number of spells a bow "shoots"  if its a spellstoring bow and you could shoot its spell?

Why would you want Wraithstrike in the bow? That's going to give the guy you shoot with it Wraithstrike.  :P

ARROW OF CURE LIGHT WOUNDS
When this otherwise normal +1 arrow strikes a target, it does no damage. Instead, the target is affected as if by a cure light wounds spell, which cures 1d8+1 points of damage. If such an arrow strikes an undead target, the creature is entitled to spell resistance and a Will save (DC 11) for half damage.

An arrow of cure moderate wounds cures 2d8+3 points of damage and has a save DC of 12.
An arrow of cure serious wounds cures 3d8+5 points of damage and has a save DC of 13.
An arrow of cure critical wounds cures 4d8+7 points of damage and has a save DC of 14.

Caster Level: 1st (light), 3rd (moderate), 5th (serious), 7th (critical); Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, cure light wounds (light), cure moderate wounds (moderate), cure serious wounds (serious), or cure critical wounds (critical); Market Price: 107 gp (light), 607 gp (moderate), 1,507 gp (serious), or 2,807 gp (critical); Cost to Create: 57 gp + 4 XP (light), 307 gp + 24 XP (moderate), 757 gp + 60 XP (serious), or 1,407 gp + 112 XP (critical).

So…
(50) Arrows of cure light wounds: 5350
Thus the curing effect is not a +1 bonus, but instead a flat 3,000 gp.

So that would be spell storing arrows +1 of cure light wounds for 7350 gp.
