PCs get a free LA-2 , but I wanna use something else ...

I was checking out the E6 stuff over here, and looked at
the LA adjustments for different point-buys.  I got an idea !

Let's say you are:
ingredient A ... a 1/2 hd or 1hd race
ingredient B ... Elite Array gets you an LA+1 adjustment ; in lots of books
ingredient C ... Imbalanced stat distribution gets an LA+1 in Savage Species
ingredient D ... hey look you're a regular old Monster 1/2hd+2la or 1hd+2la

You twiddle your thumbs for a few years.
Then you decide to become a PC.

Two things happen and it doesn't matter which Thing 1 or Thing 2 happens first.
Thing 1 ... the base 1/2 hd or 1 hd gets wiped out, replaced by the 1st PC level
Thing 2 ... You already had the Elite Array and Imbalanced Stats, and this ALSO gets wiped out.

Result ... Thing 2 is quite clearly an LA-2 adjustment.

While this by itself is interesting, I wanna do something else with it.
I still want the LA-2, but I don't want / don't need the Elite Array or
the Imbalanced Stats, or Both.  I can think of lots of LA+2s that are better.

Could you cite such a book?  I've only ever heard of elite array increasing CR.

Ooohhh.
That might be a total oops / over stating the case.
SRD has CR only for elite array.
I'll have to pick up my Savage Species and re-read it.

Looking through Savage Species ... Astral Deva
racial class Level 8 is the only LA level of any of
the racial classes, that has 3 stats bumped +2.
There are single stat +2s that get an LA level,
and there are double stats +2s that get an LA level.
Elite Array is 4 +2s and a +1.

This suggests under normal conditions, that 
Elite Array would be at least an LA of +2.
It seems the CR+1 for Elite Array is a minimum.
