It is similar to that build but his spell choices were drastically different but there are alot of good reasons for that. I didnt take mindlink because I get 100ft telepath from my level in mindbender and that also gets me Mindsight which is just a beyond amazing feat. Also my eventually having a psychic thrall makes Psymbiot a fantastic feat choice considering Horus doubles as a social/magical/psionic skill moneky, along with the lunatic insight for being trained in all knowledge skill. The skill choices though were very very similar for sure as well as some of the overall idea of the build.
I had been checking out some of the bloodline rules in Unearthed Arcana, but by that time I felt like Id be really pushing my luck with my DM who is a friend of a friend, so I decided not to look into it really. Sadly the issue im running into now is being the only "power gamer" in our group. I know this sounds ironic do to the fact that im on a board called minmaxboards, but I truly hate being accused of minmaxing. I think its mostly because the last campaign I was in there was one guy who just took it way to far. He never really roleplayed at all, or cared about any kind of storyline, he just wanted to make himself stronger by any means possible, regardless of whether it fit his character or anything. Thats what I think of when somebody accuses me outright of minmaxing just because I chose to take my time in thoroughly researching a character. Really chafes me something fierce. Minmaxing goes to far when you choose to change storyline for rules instead of rules for storyline. Unless of course your playing a campaign thats meant to be an outright minmaxing campaign, in which case thats fine, as long as you still come up with a good storyline and you roleplay it well and all that.
Well anyways, yes Horus would make a fantastic BBEG. Even the way his storyline is written would go along with it perfectly. Especially once he goes thrallherd. The one thing about that as far as how im going to be playing it is im not going to try crazy shit like bringing all my followers with me into combat and shit like that thats just beyond broken and takes the fun out of it for everybody else. Most of the time im taking my thralls with me and maybe a few believers if that. I mostly just want to use the believers for funny roleplaying situations. Things like working as whores in my brothels, giving all my believers a numbered shirt and that number being their new name once they arrive into my service, working out a deal with the local sewer denizens of trading thier loyalty for a supply of "Fresh Meat". The roleplaying possibilities are endless, because if any of em die, new ones just show up 24 hours later, and this campaign takes place in a city a mere few square miles but has a 100,000 people in it, so im effectively thinning out the overly dense population
