Anyone got any suggestions for a dedicated slayer of creatures of the [Construct] type?

Peace,

You need Races of Eberron and be a Warforged.  That lets you pick up Construct Lock.

Basically, whenever you would threaten a crit on a construct (remember: you can still do this, just crits don't deal extra damage), you can forgo the confirmation roll and make another attack.  If this second attack deals damage, the construct makes a Fort save (DC10+Con+1/2 level, it will fail 90% of the time) or is effectively paralyzed for 1 round.  Also gives you a nice +2 damage bonus against constructs.

Use a falchion and go Disiple of Dispater or grab Keen.  Most attacks should be triggering paralysis.

Grab a level of arcane caster and go Unseen Seer - then fill up all your slots with Golem Strike :p

Anyone with ready access to disintegrate. Preferably a psion who can use those other PP to manifest them more often. Add split ray if you think they may be tough.

The golembane scarab is a good investment. Otherwise an adamantine constructbane greatsword and the power attack tree.

This is so you can make a fighter to kill my astral constructs, isn't it.

I know what you're doing, even if nobody else does.

Some time ago I've created a not-so-awersome version of the lord of blades, an eberron NPC.
It was something focused on construct-lock and TWF, hight crit weapons and so on.
The BSF in my party, a warforged figther 20, challanged him on a 1 to 1 fight, losing his over 350hp in 3 rounds or less, i can't remember.

was something like this

fighter 8 / artificer 5 / warforged juggernaut 5

01 adamantine body, ACF warforged fighter (+3 initiative, +3 vs fear)
02 Construct Lock (ACF warforged fighter, warforged feat)
03 Twf
04 ACF warforged fighter (+2 damage w/t slam or attached weapons)
05
06 ITwf, exotic weapon, double scimitar (B)
07
08 improved critical (B)
09 power attack, ACF warforged artificer (infuse self)
10 Brew Potion (B)
11 Craft Wondrous Item (B)
12 improved bull rush, extend spell (B)
13 Craft Magic Arms and Armor (B)
14
15 persistant spell
16
17
18 craft construscts

persisted wraightstrike, persisted divine power, persisted haste, something else
Tons of immunity in a full metal body.

however u can trade fighter and juggernaut levels for ranger and scout levels: skrimish get critical, immobilize target, coup de grace w/t skrimish damage.

Lycanthromancer: You aren't alone.  I thought that this was about killing Astral Constructs from the first post.

See also a Construct Bane weapon.

Well other than the optimized Astral Construct's aren't most constructs that are with 1 to 3 cr of a character not that large of a threat barring certain circumstances?

Demolition Crystals  from Magic Item Compendium.
Most people on the thread probably already know the them but here they are anyway:
Demolition Crystals from Mic Pg 65
Least, +1d6
Lesser, Count as Adam.
Greater, allow Sneak attack/Crit.

Greater Construct Slaying Arrow.

Roll a 17 or die instantly.

(Sure, normally something like that would be overkill for even a 9th-level AC, but hey... we're all frankly being a little silly here.)

So, what, am I going up against the entirety of the BG boards now?

If I'm doing THAT, then I demand to use the Ectoskeleton power.

You must mean Swift Haste, Haste is not persistable as such.

I'd try to help, but you kind of know almost everything that deal with psionics.
Is this a continuation of that Astral Construct versus Fighter thread back on the old boards?

Be a rogue with Grave Strike, whether through a level of sorc/wiz, or a magic item.  Sneak attack them!
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.
