Whichever devil struck me in melee combat needs to make a DC 16 Fort save or be nauseated by Shellfish allergies for 1 round. On a successful save they're still sickened for 1 round.

Since this is happening in initiative as part of the opponent's turn, do I take the penalty for holding with one arm if it was just a momentary AoO and the claw's back holding the target? The rules don't seem very clear.

Isn't it something like a -10 if the penalty applies? Which gives the guy a fighting chance to escape (temporarily).

Or because he mentioned lashing out and going right back to it, half the penalty and say the cultist timed it right if he makes it out?

The penalty is -20, which is significant. I'm fine with whatever is decided. I want to say that because I'm not choosing to fully use only the one limb to conduct the grapple, that it shouldn't apply, but I want to be fair.

I'm wondering if it really matters. If he escapes his turn is over, and you act next turn before he does, which mean pretty much an auto grapple.
