They're pretty much the same; a glyphwalker can learn them no problem.  They're discharged as a full-round action instead of a free action, though; also, they have particular spells which they can duplicate.  There's a thread with the full lists.

Well multiple followers... Do the companions get elite array? Or just standard?
Companions get the normal one since they're not cohorts.  (Wild cohorts act like companions.)

Ok, thanks. And it looks like from a previous post and this, followers use standard also.

Got it!

heh, then we can get a proper army of hell vibe going.  small crowd of lemures, an ice devil, and bearded devils summoned with some frequency(or just more lemures, the real things are nasty.)

also...  wondering if the lemures can also get the inocent form feat...  as people tend to complain if we get rotting molten flesh every were.

If I go pseudonatural, we can eventually add eldritch horrors to our growing army. :)
Some of them won't be very friendly, though.  :(

Alternatively, I can just simply go another route and not worry about it.

Many of my minions are pretty freaky... I need to drop the stats of the 3 followers I've made :(

Got so far a druid poison-maker, marshal (with the fix) shopkeeper/foreman, large fighter bouncer, and a rogue locksmith.

Thinking of a urban ranger maybe?

And once the business is set up, I get 2 more!

I still have no clue about my cohort :(

Does anyone know if you can retrain Monstrous Blood and Monster Hybrid feats after you multiclass into a second monster class?

well...  I don't think you can or should be able to.  they are there to balance the fact mixing monsters can get incredibly powerful very quickly.

Yeah, if you don't have the feats you don't qualify for the class levels.  They basically turn base classes into prcs with the prereq of: these feats.

If you were able to retrain them, the first level of the second monster class would wipe all the stuff of the first class, seeing as it is both a race and class. (I think I got that right)

Ok guys I need some help deciding between two builds.

On the one hand we have a choker Impulse mage with a level in Darkened One. He can spellshape twice per round, sometimes affecting an area. He can scare the crap out of people (imperious command, dreadful wrath) and has 30ft shadow tentacles that can do AoOs. In the future his tentacles will be able to trip and grapple

=Feats: Combat Reflexes, Sculpt Spellshape, Imperious Command, Dreadful Wrath, Circle Focus

On the other hand we have an abomination. A choker with illithid levels and one level in Impulse Mage.  He can do all of the above except the 30ft AoOs (although that is an option in the future). In exchange for some Impulse mage class features he gains: Mind Blast, Telepathy, Cha bonus, Cha to Natural AC, Charm, Levitate, SR 17 (11+HD)

=Feats: Sculpt Spellshape, Monstrous Blood, Hybrid Monster, Imperious Command, Dreadful Wrath

Mmmm, now that  I wrote it the second one sound cooler, what do you think?

Yeah, that's fine, though you're stuck with the LA unless someone makes a Dragonspawn racial class.

I don't have any dungeon mags, so I'm not sure.  What did you have in mind?

No, IC would wipe it out, though it also wipes all the traits other than the swim speed and the ability adjusts.

Hm.  I have to think about this.  The Plane of Mirrors may not be something I want to build into this...
