My cohort has Psionic Minor Creation. Selected partly with your character in mind.

Winthrop has prepared a pair Bracers of Quick Strike for whoever in our party would like an extra attack after a full attack, 1/day. Are there any takers?

VennDygrem might have a use for it, though.

Alternatively, any other Wondrous Item worth up to 1,400 gold.

Or if you prefer, we can work together on item crafting. He's a wizard with Wondrous Items. Market * 0.43125 for actual pricing. However, he is limited to CL 5, so things like gloves of dexterity and gauntlets of ogre power are out, unless you'd also like to pay the surcharge for a wizard to provide the CL. Those particulars have an additional charge of 60 gold. For anything else he makes, it's market * 0.575. So that's...

A&A = Market * 0.575
Etched Runes = Market * 0.575
Potions = Market * 0.575
Scrolls = Market * 0.575
Wands = Market * 0.575
Wondrous Items = Market * 0.43125

Is that their normal cost? Are they wondrous items?

Found them. What do you say we make each of them 267 gold, 3 silver and 8 copper?

In fact... I'm just going to go over your equipment and eliminate everything I know isn't magical, and adjust the things I can find for warcrafter pricing. And then post the things I'm curious about here. Unless you mind.

These are the things I could help with.

If we want to optimize our gear, my character can craft any mundane or alchemical item, so such things can be bought at 1/3 price.

I'm not opposed to that, CNC. This is a bloodthirsty tournament run by a LE/NE government, after all.

Unrelatedly, your patch should not be a va Ffion unless you're saying Cornelia owns you. ;) Ffion is the family name, va is the article indicating that you're an adjunct of the family. Sorry that's not clear, I haven't quite done up her background yet. Not that I'm opposed to Cornelia owning you.

While I was at it, I decided to go down the list and see what I could do for other characters on the team.

Actually, you can't have your cohort craft my weapon items, since, per the crafting rules in the SRD "The creator’s caster level must be at least three times the enhancement bonus of the weapon." So for those items, at least, I must pay full price. Which is still a bargain for what I'm getting out of them. The collision necklace gets me a static +7 to damage on each of my hits (+2 from enhancement, +5 from enchantment), which is pretty nice for the cost. Having it crafted at a lower cost would be very nice, but it is not to be. And the shuriken/gauntlet? That's already cheesy as it is. :P

Oh, I just looked at the cost figure and totaled it up. I didn't even see the other +5. My apologies.

Venn, do you have any interest in turning those boots into boots of elvenkind and the battle charger (boots of the elven battle charger?) for a total of 1,940.63 gold?

Well then it looks like you've got a little extra money to play with.

I think you've got 2,722.08 gold left. If you wanted to spend it all on wondrous items, I could make it stretch into 6,311.93 of market valued items.

Hmm, might not be bad, but it's only 2/day. There are some benefits to saving some money, though I can also contribute extra funds into useful items for the party (wands/etc.)
Also, the cost would be 2371.875, based on your formula, since you need to increase the cost of the less expensive component of a combined item by 1.5 times the price, rather than just adding the cost of the two together unmodified.

Still cheaper than the boots of elvenkind without a crafter.

Also, it would appear that Eternal Wands are a special case, since they require Craft Wondrous Item in addition to Craft Wand. Therefore, they get the wondrous item price.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised in Cornelia would "own" me, if it came to that... however, for the time being at least, I'll change my insignias to something more appropriate.

Non-Wondrous Items
+1 Resin Chain Shirt of Light Fortification 718.75 gp
...How much did the cohort's chain shirt cost?

The same. It may end up being light fortification as well. If not, some other +1 ability. Either way, same price.

Quote from: Drammor
Nonmagic Stuff
Assorted Incenses and Candles: 3,750 gp*
*acquired via Winthrop's Mercantile Background perk

Those are self crafted (with XP cost paid from craft reserve.) Does mercantile background still offer a discount in that case? No reason it shouldn't (could help with material sourcing and such), just checking.

I have a fair amount of cash left (more thanks to Winthrop), what discounts can you produce exactly so you don't have to vet everything I buy?

Then you know what to do with the price of that one.

Two things: Sir P told me we can't use craft reserve for pre-game crafting. And no, mercantile background applies only to things you buy.

Arms & Armor = Market price * 0.575
Etched Runes = Market price * 0.575
Potions = Market price * 0.575
Scrolls = Market price * 0.575
Wands = Market price * 0.575
Wondrous Items = Market price * 0.43125
Wondrous items includes eternal wands.

@Zook:
Papyrus of Deception - 862.5 gp
Dull Grey Ioun Stone - 25 gp
Silent Portal Disk - 150.93 gp
Hand of the Mage - 388.13 gp
Artificer's Monocle - 646.88 gp

I can't do anything about the price of the ioun stone because hiring a wizard to help me make one would require a larger surcharge than the price of the original item.

That's odd. He told me reserve was ok on the most recent page of the OOC thread.
