Dread Pirate Ideas
« on: October 04, 2012, 02:07:34 PM »
So, I'm playing in a new campaign, and I want to use the prestige class 'Dread Pirate' (Complete Adventurer, p. 39).

Any min/max ideas or advice would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Are you looking to be an honorable or dishonorable pirate?

If the forums weren't down for maintenance I'd reccomend the Iron chef optimization challenge on the giant in the playground forums. They take underused prestige classes and create flavorfull, elegent, original, powerfull builds that use the secrent ingrediant to the fullest. They've already done dread pirate (in iron chef XIX) so after the forums come back up you may want to check them out.

Black Jack takes the Iron Chef contest winners and makes them walk the plank.

Forums are back up so you may want to check out IC.

Black Jack takes the Iron Chef contest winners and makes them walk the plank.

Weirdly I actually partially agree with you. Vincent is the better pilot and four fingers can actually find the places he sales too but Jack is the better standalone character in my opinion (though the IC PC's are still great). Kudos to you for making a great   build   :clap.

We'll see what the OP decides.
