Amnon's attack misses his target, as the changeling dodges the strike fluidly.
Round 4!The lone remaining guard drake takes the opportunity of a distracted tiefling to make a vicious gnashing of its teeth, tearing into an already wounded body. The sight of the paladin crumpling to the ground as the drake rears its sharp-toothed maw back is more than a bit disheartening.
The changeling grins, and looks to be nearly on the verge of cackling. "Do you see, fools? Do you see what happens when you cross Sil and Lord Kalarel? Death is coming swiftly for you all!"
The Changeling, who you assume now must be Sil, twirls around the immobilized body of the Invoker in a flourish, and swings her shortsword as part of the same fluid movement expecting that the momentum, combined with the element of surprise, would deal the githyanki artificer a terrible blow. However, Golkonda's book imp shrieks when it sees Sil making her sudden move, allowing its master to make a split-second dodge.
The drake attacks Amnon and hits for a whopping 12 damage. Amnon is currently dying at -10 hp, four away from complete death (death threshold = negative bloodied value). Any attacks against a dying character can bring them to their death, though foes typically don't consider the dying to be an imminent threat and will typically worry about attacking the well-alive.
Unless Amnon is healed (with any hp healed starting at 0 and increasing from there), he must spend his turn making death saving throws. Rolls of 1-9 bring you one step closer to death, with three such rolls bringing instant death; 10-19 means no change; a roll of 20 or higher means you may spend a healing surge if you have any left, and while you are no longer dying, you are still prone.
Sil the Changeling shifts 3 squares and successfully catches Golkonda by surprise (gaining combat advantage until EONT), but she misses with her attack.
It's Cal's turn!Map
