Glad you can, because aside from the ridiculousness of the wording (which I wouldn't put past some actual churchgoers) I'm not seeing any visual queues to indicate their (lack of) credibility.
You can see the text overlapping the squares
Depending on whether the squares and texts were made by the same company/designed to fit within the squares as opposed to just sitting in the rails, that could be a simple compatibility issue.
You can see the lines of the squares intersecting the letters, though. I imagine the letters on actual church signs are blocks that get slid in, which would cover the lines.

What? If the letters' material is transparent except the letters themselves, you should be able to see the lines behind them, given a decent camera.

Those lines represent cells. The letters can't be placed between them because there's no room. Also, even a BAD camera (especially a bad camera) would reveal that the letters are on square pieces of plastic. Those appear to be printed on the same piece of "plastic".

As for the church boards, for some reason I have it in my head that those lines aren't so much dividers as guides to just line things up, so they can have stuff over them. I'll have to check t make sure though.

The ones I've seen can be placed OVER them just fine.
