Everything is edible. Just that there are things only edible once per lifetime.
It's a god-eat-god world.

Procrastination is the thief of time; Year after year it steals, till all are fled,
And to the mercies of a moment leaves; The vast concerns of an eternal scene.

So we were on the car on the way to the beach, right? Decided to take a shortcut through the hills to avoid traffic. Rains all day, so when night falls, there's a fog, thick as hell. We're listening in on the radio for road conditions, and the radio starts to get all staticky on us. I turn to my stepdad and say:

"Dude, if you see a creepy girl in white, a corpse, or a sign saying "Welcome to Silent Hill", STEP THE FUCK ON IT."
Kami darou ga akuma darou ga, ore no michi ni tateru mono NASHI!!

Give me internets. Now.

I played a bit of Dragonforce for my dad, specifically Fury of the Storm.  His only comment was "They were doing pretty good until they started singing."

Totally made my day, because it's so true.

So, my younger daughter started walking around recently. She's been capable for several months, but just refused to do so. It's like she wanted to wait to do it until she knew she could without falling. So, she went from crawling to walking 30 - 60 seconds at a time.

My older daughter hadn't seen her walk more than a few steps before. When I picked them up from day care, I had the younger one walk into the room where the older one was. When she saw her, she started yelling: "I have a toddler for a sister! I have a toddler and not a shrieking baby!"

:lol

Our son did the same thing, as far as refusing to walk. He first started walking a few steps when he was really young, like 7 months or something, but he fell down and bumped his head pretty hard. Then for at least 6 months, he was afraid to try it without holding onto something for balance. Poor guy...

Well, my boy is still too young for that, but in six or seven months time...

While exceptions exist, I find most kids between 12 and 36 months have Fast Healing and DR/ADHD.
