Pathfinder's setting isn't that bad, but some of the descriptions hit really close to the above map. I'll cover them here:
Nazi Land is
Cheliax, one of the most powerful nations in the setting. The humans had a great and awesome empire ruled by Aroden (God of Humans), but after his death a dark age came and stuff.
Cheliax's most powerful noble family turned to Asmodeus and the devils to save their kingdom, and ever since they've been a totalitarian, expansionist society. The "more Nazis" is
Nidal, one of their formerly occupied territories, and they have colonies in the southern continent (Garund) as well.
They even have a swastika flag:
Freedom, Nobility, and Fluffy Bunnies is
Andoran, or Fantasy USA. When Cheliax started getting all tyrannical, a bunch of people got pissed. So there were these philosophers and an eladrin who wrote a bunch of articles on government and liberty and democracy. A bunch of people rebelled and overthrew the Cheliaxian nobles in their region, setting up a democracy. In addition to being founded upon the principles of democracy and various freedoms, they also love free mercantilism (capitalism), and their country is very idealistic and does not have many flaws. Andorans are intensely anti-slavery and regularly bust up the flesh trade in other nearby countries, and their soldiers dress up as late 1700s Americans, tri-corner hats and all.
Vive La Revolution is the aftermath of the French Revolution, the country of Galt. They broke off from Cheliax as well, and read the same articles on government, but things went to shit as the Revolutionary Council started killing anyone not radical enough. This has been going on for 40 years, and whatever rabble-rouser can direct the angry mobs the best is effectively the head of government for a few years before they too get killed and replaced.
Dumb Atheists is the nation of
Rahadoum, the only nation to completely ban the worship of deities. They used to have a bunch of religious fundamentalists warring among each other, and eventually people got fed up and exterminated them. Anyone caught worshiping a deity is executed. They're called atheists in the setting, despite actually believing in the existence of deities (the proper term is anti-theism, where one believes in deities but views them all as assholes). Due to lack of divine spellcasters they can't really deal with plagues easily, and many believe that the deities are responsible (although there's no proof).
Bunga Bunga Land is the
Mwangi Expanse, part of the southern continent Garund (which is the setting's fantasy counterpart Africa). Mwangi draws inspiration not from authentic African fantasy, but from 1930s pulp serials of dangerous ruins in the jungle and sapient gorillas who hate all humans. It's caught a bit of flack on rpg.net for being a stereotypical departure from their otherwise nuanced and progressive handling of non-European fantasy aspects.
Green Is Da Best is the
Hold of Belkzen, a country ruled entirely by orcs. It's as brutal and warlike as you can imagine.
Demons n' Shit is the
Worldwound, a gigantic extraplanar rift which leads into the Abyss. Demon Princes and their forces are pouring into the region and pretty much destroyed the barbarian empire which used to be there. It takes the concerted effort of all the bordering nations to hold them back.
Weirdoes is the island nation of
Hermea, which is ruled by a golden dragon named Mengkare who set up the country as part of a social experiment to perfect humanity. The government begins and ends pretty much with the dragon, and every citizen signs a social contract, and it's a self-sufficient utopia which strictly guards its borders. There is no private property and everything's communal, where citizens are encouraged to give and take according to their needs; this sounds like some weird Communist utopia, but it isn't because there's one guy in charge making all the decisions as opposed to the community (which is how Marx's Communism is supposed to work). The dragon also practices eugenics, using planned breeding to ensure the next generation of humans are as smart and healthy as can be; lots of people, including most major religions, find this practice disgusting.
Eh, the major message I get from this "ideal society" is that everything will work out if you put a dragon in charge and let him make all of the major decisions for you.
