Well, true. I just meant I couldn't use it on a magical weapon (as these things usually are).
Correction: it just wouldn't be magical already. Special material + Dwarvencraft + other template, then magic as it levels is how some of the NPC's AR's progressed. Okay, so I've only done one. One NPC's AR progressed that way. But I think I can still say "some", even with only one, since it stands to reason that I'll do so again.
Anyway, you've got the chain, so I'll shut up now.
Don't want anyone waiting on me though.
Inna is done; McPoyo and SirP are nearly done; SV, Jack and Quill are all still in character-generation stage.
So not "waiting on you" at this point.
I will go ahead and mention two things about me as a DM though:
Facepalm Humor: If you all go back to when I suggested Dr. Tran as a PC, you'll see what I mean. I have an odd sense of humor. It does come into play. If you can imagine meeting an Ardent NPC capable of engaging in melee, using energy powers, and healing, all dressed in red, and has a item that lets him use Psychic Reformation on himself only, at-will, as a full-round action, which he calls his "character sheet". I've done that before. His name was only given as "Red Mage".
My humor is generally not ha-ha funny, so much as facepalm or groan-worthy.
It doesn't come up often, but it does come up.
Character, not Story: Things happen around you. These are not necessarily "story hooks". They are just things that happen. If you guys decide to completely ignore the things happening in the starting village, say "F*** it" and head off elsewhere, I am not going to care. I built the world, I engineer the events within it, but how you react, or even if you react, is up to you.
The game (as all by me) is to be Character-driven, not story-driven.
