Because I'm blind, how are we handling HP?
HP is shown in the Cast and Crew thread.  Max HP.

Just for my own record:

Up to this point current status on being ready:
DM (AriasDerros - Me): Keep writing in the World Information thread. Will try to hurry it up after Thanksgiving.
SirPercival: Done except equipment.
McPoyo: About 2/3 done.
InnaBinder: Done. Been Done. Patience of a saint.
Shadowviper: Done except spells and equipment.
Jackinthegreen: Done except for equipment.
Quillwraith: No Post.

And of course: backgrounds all around (a lot for me to put into the World Info thread).
Sorry. Life.

I'll post later today. There's a draft done but for equipment and background/description, which I'm kinda stuck on.
Probably ought to check the skills though, not sure how some stuff interacts w/ the houserules.

Understand that.

Wasn't trying to pressure or anything. I've got stuff to do too.

As far as background, is there any questions you'd have about the world (I know a lot of stuff, I just haven't made the time here to type it).

Well, I was thinking of how whisper gnomes

outwardly resemble common gnomes, but they lack the jovial nature and easy outlook on life that their more common relatives enjoy. Instead, whisper gnomes are creatures of stealth and suspicion.
Something interesting must have happened to cause such a divergence. Did they side with the dragons against the other gnomes, or something like that?

Posted. Still have lingering feeling I did something stupid, though.

They have different personalities, but they aren't against the normal gnomes.

In the war, they were the special forces for certain purposes.

So, what's the viability of being a caster without attending an academy? Specifically, in the case of a Dread Necro, who "learns" every spell they'll ever know at first level, but casts spontaneously.

Thinking of trying a "was a natural" angle.

Composite Longbows no longer have an additional price for STR bonus, correct?

And does a full four hours of meditation count for regaining spells? Or must he meditate for four hours and then "rest" for an additional four?

Even many the vast majority of Wizards were taught via the classical master & apprentice style. Much less any of the other casters.

Most other Dreads still would have had some kind of help figuring it all out.  Charisma, the sheer force of personality, is what determines a Dreads casting ability though. That said, there aren't many Dread Necromancers living in this world.

Works for me. Someone had to be first, and I have to imagine they were quite the natural too, so there's no reason the same can't be said for you.

Correct

Quote from: SRD
If the character does not need to sleep for some reason, she still must have 8 hours of restful calm before preparing any spells.

Regarding the resting, that's what I thought but couldn't remember if it was official or a house rule I read somewhere.

Alrighty, think I'm pretty much done aside from choosing general spell load-out, stating out familiar, and fluff.

General Spell Loadout selected. Think I'm good to ago aside from writing down some fluff and get the Hawk's stats sorted.

Is there a set time you'd like us to get all our stuff sorted, or just do it as we're comfortable?

I'd originally wanted to be up by the new year.
Then again, I'd originally planed to have my stuff for the world done and up several weeks ago, but that hasn't happened. You can expect the "Wold Info" thread to grow at least a little when I have a few days off for Christmas.

That said, unless there are things that you guys would specifically want to know about on my end, the village of Shamhahn is ready to be saved anytime. That Consul's been left sweating since I wrote that in September. I kinda feel bad for the guy.

So, for the most part, "as comfortable". AFAIK, you are more waiting on each other than on me, since no one has really asked for any specific data of the world. <(Hint, hint, since if you ask questions, it forces me to write stuff out.)

Did the outer planes get involved in the war? Did they lose magic too? Which sides were the outsiders on?

Not the major one on the material plane, the outer planes have their own wars. Ones that have never really stopped, or really have any point that you can say they "started" either, for that matter.

As far as most people on the material plane can tell, some of the more powerful outsiders were diminished a bit. In essence, (Su) and (Sp) have been left in place for those that have them, but spellcasting was lost, regardless of whether it was racial or from class. Keyword: "was". At the very least, those with racial spellcasting have it back now, it is unknown on the material plane what the status is of spellcasting for outsiders that comes from training (i.e. class levels).

They were on whichever side they were [called] to be on, for the most part. An avatar or herald here or there showing up to help out their gods followers uncalled was highly infrequent, but not unheard of.

Since you're using the Striking Cover rule, I'm assuming Eldritch Blast is subject to that too as a ranged attack?  If so, would you allow the Endure Exposure invocation to nullify EB damage like it does for a DFA's breath?

Also, since Magic-blooded was originally 3.0 material, it has two spells that have been updated and combined.  Would you allow Magic Aura to be used twice a day in place of the 1/day Nystul's Undetectable Aura and 1/day Nystul's Magical Aura?
