So a friend was complaining to me tonight about how his DM had them fighting something with barbs. If you didn't have a reach weapon, you took damage. They were magical, but not a spell so therefore DR applied. Question though. The argument was that despite not getting through the DR they still ended up taking just the bleed damage. We didn't see the logic behind that. If you do 10 pts of damage to me, and I've got DR 15/bludgeoning, I shouldn't be taking the bleed. Now, if you did 10 pts of damage and 1 pt of bleed, and I only had DR 10, then I could see it.
Who's right?
